She wanted to try them on a couple of months ago, so i swapped them just to see if they would fit. But I think I need centric rings? because of the 64mm(Prelude)/67mm(DSM) bore size difference. Ive been looking for a set of aftermarket wheels that i like so she can keep them or find a second set...
My wife's Prelude is like having an older step-child that respects you but doesn't exactly like you either and feels the need to showcase that once in a while. On the good side, she rarely breaks down, but when she does, she usually waits til Im the one that is driving, so that I can be the one...
yes. The whole intake system has to come off(manifold, throttlebody, plastic airbox hose, etc). It probably wouldnt have been that big of a deal if I hadnt of gone into it assuming that it was going to be a 5 minute job like my 2g or my wife's Prelude.
Lookin good @Dericsh, lookin good! Ive been thinking about picking up one of these if my wife gets this new job. My Durango killed me on gas with her driving to her last job and it wasnt even that far of a drive. How has the general maintenance been on it so far (fluid changes, spark plugs, etc)?
Im definitely the romantic one, but since my wife hates commercial holidays and her own birthday, there isnt much in the way of celebrating Valentines Day. There have been exchanges of candy or other sweets in the past because one of us might have come across something on the way home. My wife...
But do they have 6k miles......and a mound of trash in the passenger foot well? :DI can only hope that a true fan of the car (with deep pockets) gets ahold of it.
My apologies, I'm not trying to derail your hopes and dreams, just that a lot of people come here with the specific 500 horsepower number (search and you will find probably find 100 threads +) in mind and that trigger immediate questions to see how much research you have done on your own. It is...
Where did the 500hp goal come from?Have you ever owned a car of that magnitude before? If the answer is "I just came up with that" and "no", then you are in a situation where you "dont know what you dont know" and you might want to think about hitting 350hp first (because these light ass cars...
Leave it to a professional. It really depends on how deep the dents are and where they are at.The 2g and 3g Eclipses (Not sure about 1g's cause Ive never done a hail job on one) has a very tight brace that runs along the top of the top portion of the entire quarter panel. So depending on where...
That is when you use the intercooler piping with the actual CX Racing intercooler. The ETS street intercooler is considerably wider and the piping isnt guarenteed fitment when used as "universal". Comparing the pictures below, the two intercoolers differ in where the core ends in relation to...
Id have to defer to the rest of the board for that question because Ive never dealt with automatic transmissions in this car. I currently have 162000 on my manual trans and still has smooth shifting
Comes out to 174,000 miles for a little over $7500 so others dont have to do the conversion.Sounds equivalent to the price range these cars are going for in the US these days with the added bonus of rust-free and 1 owner. Id really consider it if the car was States-side, but since i dont know...
Were you able to see underneath? Probably just as bad, but like @1990TSIAWDTALON, if you could get the price down... You could probably make a chunk of change off the interior parts, oem bumpers, drop the engine into a better shell, but then again, you have no ideas of the engines condition...
You should post more about your automotive experience as a mechanic or autobody. But by the way those strut towers look.... you would be in for some work...
HA! What a story :thumb:Way to rescue your old DSM from certain doom. One of the reasons I could never sell this car is because I think I would constantly stalk the buyer to make sure they were taking care of it and not making it into abomination... Id probably have to steal it back :D
Perhaps provide some pics of the engine bay for clarity so we can see what youre working with. It might be more beneficial for you to redo the intercooler piping to take a better path than to add a half radiator to compensate and possibly run into more cooling issues down the road. Admittedly...
+1... Curious as to your long term goals because none of the important upgrades warrant a radiator swap. The stock system does an adequate job and stock fans have good cfm flow. Not much to gain unless you were running a setup where you needed the space because of a large turbo and tubular...
The CXRacing piping follows the short route and hooks up to intercoolers that have the ports at the bottom like my ETS street intercooler. I installed this piping back in February(Picture credit to Wes_393 from his the install guide)
I had to shave a little off the inside bumper on the...
Fairly straight forward for assembly, i used this thread as a visual guide because the couplers i bought were close but slightly longer/different so threw the assembly off a bithttps://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2ga-punishment-racing-fmic-install-and-guide.440986/
https://www.cxracing.com/KIT-2G-N-IC0016-A-BRK-BOV009A CXRacing piping kit that I bought from a local guy a few years ago. This is the kit that it was and I think he said he called and just got the throttle body elbow, piping, j-pipe w/gasket and couplers and left out the BOV, bracket and...
Im not familiar with it enough to know.... but this is on their website,All items will be shipped from Frederick, Maryland 21702. We can ship to virtually any address within the US and select International addresses..... International packages may be subject to the customs fees and import...
Just pointing out that the current top entry in the classified section might interest you... unless youre looking for something closer to you in Europe due to shipping cost.https://www.dsmtuners.com/marketplace/parts-cleanout-ecus-ecmlink-pilink-dejon-intake-etc.6259/
I was just curious because Id always heard that fuel prices in Europe were insanely expensive. Didnt know how it affected peoples choices to own certain cars. Glad to see more people from outside the US coming to the site to share what they have.
Welcome! Nice collection of cars you have there... Admittedly, i know nothing about driving in Europe. Whats it like trying to get fuel for those, especially the ones on premium?
Get aftermarket boost and oil pressure gauges first, if you dont have them already :) Dont rely on the stock ones because they arent accurate. You dont want any surprises like boost creep or low pressure when adding upgrades.
