Thanks for the input , i got the car with a fmic on already so this is why i was wondering. we installed a sbr fmic on my girlfriends spyder and i was able to see the difference in the smic an fmic j-pipe. thanks again. Hopefully the 14b will be on this weekend.
Did a search but could not find the answer to my question. I know what all is needed to do the 14b on the 2g but what i could not find was if i would need a j pipe for the install if it has a FMIC? Couldn't tell if the jpipe was needed for the side mounts or not? Sorry if i missed this somewhere.
The meet was great , WELL worth the 13 hour (round trip) drive to fl. It was very well put together with every detail planned out. Hope everyone had as good of a time as we did.
Had the same problem on my girlfriends 97 talon , we took the hole thing out and cleaned the tracks and noticed a small pin was missing, there were four if i remember right. We replaced it and made sure it was on track and its been working fine. Sorry i cant name what the pin is or what it does...

I did the timming the first time and was 2 teeth off and had it done at a shop and then when i got it home turned the crank by hand to check the marks.

We had that problem at the shop with another car , used a tap and die kit and went on no problems. If you don't have one maby a shop near by would do it for you , we have let a few people use ours on stuff like this. Goodluck.

Yeah i saw that at autozone also and let them know they were not selling the 420a flywheel. Got up this morning to put my tranny on after bolting up the avenger flexplate i got and sure enough the tranny doesnt clear it. The starter doesnt fit over the teeth either so back to the search.
Sounds like that motor should be able to take a shot on it. If your wanting some power to play with untill you go turbo you should check out like a zex kit or something , spray a bit untill the turbo is in. Just make sure you break the motor in first before getting on it.

clutch i bought which im pretty sure it is the modular clutch but i cant see where the flywheel , if it is installed on the clutch, would bolt to the motor. There are 4 bolt holes on the back of the kit but nothing like a flywheel pattern. Maby this is the wrong clutch for the 95? Not sure i...
