what you are going to have to do is invest in a good testlight that tests for (+) and (-) polarity. then go to the main fuse box under the hood and see what has power and what doesnt when the key is turned... then if nothing there check the fuse box under the dash , it is a tedious process but...
I head the head remachined and it was decked , I cleaned all the old stuff off of the deck of the block , I am thinking there is a valve or two that might be bent , and all of the plugs have the black residue on them , so I don't think it would be one bad ring causing all of those issues...

put the car up on jack stands, then get a plank of wood and put it between the jack and bottom of engin and secure the engin in place and unbolt and replace... take out whats needed to get to the bolts, don't try bending stuff, trouble waiting to happen
