You need to replace the shifter and assembly, shift cables, and also the bracket on the transmission that holds the cables. If you need any of these parts I have all of them. I also put a thread in here that should answer any other questions you may have...
I don't know if this applys for you because my car is a 1g but it does the same thing. The gauge shows low pressure at idle and maybe a little high at highway speeds. Your best bet if your worried is to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge from autometer or the like.
You never know look at Bel-airs they were mass produced. It comes down to the market. If you look at the market now what people had 20 years ago such as camoros and cudas now get huge money. I am not saying that they will be but you never know.
Lets see here it is my daily driver and hasn't run in 8-9 months. Been through two transmissions an alternator an O2 sensor a fuel pump and now it's fried two ECU's. Thats not including the 3 months it was down when the turbo went on it. It is basically stock except for your basic gauges...
Here is a previous thread with a lot of good info. http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93739
If you need anything let me know I have a 23 spline transfer case plus shifter with base, cables, and the bracket that goes on the tranny for the shifter cables. Email me at [email protected]

Here is a link for removing the shifter. For the Cables there is a nut with a little hoop behind the ECU, which will also need to be removed. To get to them remove the kick panels. Then there are two bolts holding the shifter cables to the firewall. After...
After that wiggle the half shafts free from the wheel bearings. There are two bolts on the driver side half shaft for the carrier bearing. I believe the driver side half shaft has to come out first. Then you have to remove two crossmembers on the passenger side under the tranny. I can't...
The vacuum line next the valve cover breather hose in my intake fell out from somewhere behind the manifold i think. I have felt around but can't find anything that feels like it would hook to a vacuum line. If anyone knows where this goes it would be much appreciated.
Check for play in your clutch pedal. Move the clutch and see if the master cylinder rod moves whenever the pedal moves. If it doesn't read the drivetrain tech article about removing and welding the assembly. I tried to not do this and it cost me a tranny and now that I have done it the...
They made 22 splines up intil mid 91 so it is possible to get a 22 spline 91 trans or transfer case. As for putting on a 22 spline to 23 spline practically impossible. Did you get a JDM transfercase or trans? I remeber hearing that they also have different ratios than the US model. Correct...
The fuse box that has 3 fuses in it that connects to the battery broke awhile back. So now that my car is down I was wondering If there was a way to bypass it safely or if there is an aftermarket fuse box or something I could get (which I would prefer to do) that would allow me to get rid of...
Do you mean your bell housing cracked? If you have a FWD car you don't have a transfer case. As for fixing it a shop should be able to weld it up and it will be fine. My bellhousing is cracked by the slave cylinder and I was just going to weld it I will let you know how this goes when I get...
You should be alright. When I took mine out I accidentally let the driveshaft end kind of fall and all the fluid poured out and I had no problems with mine ever.
Buy some beer for a friend or relative. Invite them over and put them to work. Me and my buddy got it up there with no problems. Now are you using the same trans and transfer case or did you get anything new?
I am also putting a 23 spline (91) into a 22 spline (90). I was wondering if I could just get the linkages, shifter, brackets, cables from a 1.8L or 2.0 n/t or if it had to be from a turbo?
Another way me and my buddy used at 3:30am was taking a chain, from an engine hoist, and lining the chain up. The one thing I would recomend though is if you use the flywheel bolts to hold the chain in place get new ones. The one I used to hold the chain in place snapped at maybe 5ft/lbs of...
It wouldn't be to bad but being that I was so excited to get a new trans I didn't count the splines when I bought it and found out it was a 23 spline while putting it in. So now I have to get all that stuff. It really just all equals down time.
I am in the process of putting a 23 spline from a 92 into my car (90 22 spline) hopefully it goes alright. I think the biggest thing is the shifter, linkages and brackets changed because I have to swap out all my stuff for the newer model stuff. Thats if you get the transfer case with it.
I don't know about using the one that is cracked all the way through but the one with a crack by the flapper valve will work but won't hold probably more than 10psi of boost. I also have a cracked exhaust housing on my 14b and thats all that it will hold.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of something to remove to make getting to the cotter pin on the clutch master cylinder rod easier? I have removed everything under the driver side dash then the cotter pin broke so now there is just a little nub and not enough room to get pliers in there...
Hey thats crazy I have a 1g but the same problem it worked for awhile then one day nothing just stopped working. Still get voltage and rpm but thats it. oh well one day I will get motivated and fix it.
Try backing off your car for awhile try getting into other hobbies or get back into hobbies that maybe you put off for awhile and then after awhile you may get back into tuning your car. My car is finally running after being down for 4 months. But while it wasn't running I started wakeboarding...
Yes both of those or you can try matching revs which is where you rev the engine till it slips into gear easily. I do this with the clutch in but some people do it with the clutch out. It may take a few trys but you will eventually get it.
Yea I get Eurotuner and the editor went on the gumball 3000 and they had a koenigsegg there. It got clocked going 243 mph it took two plains to chase em down. If thats true that has to be the record for the fastest anyone has evr gone on a public road.
I recently took my car apart thinking that I had blown a headgasket but while having it apart I took a look at the turbo and noticed oil leaking by the fins, all the fins are broken, and there is excessive shaft play. I was wondering if the symptoms for a bad turbo are anything like a blown...
no its something else i replaced the oil cap cause I had heard that too. I think its something internal and was just wandering if anyone knew what to look for.
well my head gasket just blew this past weekend so next weekend I will be replacing it. I just had a quick question I had to drive it a little ways after it blew but it didnt overheat. The thing is there was a ton of oil on my valve cover, I usually have a little, but this was quite a bit...
Yea its a fuel cell sorry this is what I was talking about http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33121&pagenumber=2
But yea basically in a fuel cell, hydrogen and oxygen are combined and then cotact a negative electrode which splits them into protons and electrons then...
