Extended test drive today was a success for the oil pressure sending units, no leaks at either! The secondary fan held its own and didn't melt this time, temperature only hit 240 twice. However it is a DSM and once I parked it in the garage something else developed a very slow drip between...
So it definitely vibrated itself apart again. I got under the car and the whole assembly was wiggly, and when I pushed on it the 1/4" union fitting snapped off again. I relocated all the sensors now, but we had rain all day yesterday so I was unable to fully test it. I lost 3 quarts of oil, so...
I'm running the correct BSPT to NPT adapter, I think the setup is just long and is vibrating like crazy or touching the frame when it flexes.I don't like the setup now either, but at the time I copied from a thread on here. I'm moving the AEM sensor to one of the 3/8" ports with a 3/8" BSPT to...
It weird, this setup will not hold at all. The threads never back out or get loose, the oil just blows right through them. I tried all different combinations, aluminum fittings, brass fittings, Teflon tape, high temp sealant, bare threads you name it.
So worked on the overheating issue. I replaced my fan and wrapped my wastegate and dump pipe. I also put some gold foil on the back of the fan and my lower intercooler pipe. I them installed a piece a DEI form-a-shield on the turbo to help cut down on the heat hitting the fan. I took the car out...
I wasn't running a fan there at first, but the car starts to overheat after 1-2 big pulls so I added it back. I bought a Motorad high flow 180 and 192 temp thermostat I may try switching to and see if that helps as well. Otherwise I'm thinking of wrapping the wastegate and dump tube, and maybe...
Haven't got around to doing much of anything with the car. I have been chasing an oil leak issue at the gauge sending unit. I have the the tee setup with the stock and AEM sending unit and it keeps leaking no matter how a seal it. I have used aluminum and brass fittings. What I finally did last...
Finally got my transfer gears after months of waiting. My plan was to send my trans, t-case, and rear diff out to TMZ to get rebuilt, but with the unfortunate event that happened with TMZ I'm not sure what route to go now. I also need to find someone in the northeast Ohio area that can do an 8.5...
That makes sense I'm starting on the #8 from Jeff, and planning on going 2.0L long rod. I'm still looking for a set of standard gears. Jeff has been back ordered on them for months.

I bought this when I converted to speed density, but I ended up going with a S90 throttle body anyway and couldn't use it. Had it mounted, but never ran the motor with it. Price is shipped via PayPal only.
Used set of Precision fuel injectors, 950cc low impedance injectors. Ran great on ECMlink when removed. Upgraded to FIC 1650cc's when I went flex fuel. Price is shipped via PayPal.
Quick update, parts starting to flow in now.JB/Precision #8 Converter and 1G install kit, trans pan, and t-case brace. Kiggly flexplate, diff saddle, 5-disc front clutch. Shift kit with IPT spring kit. ALTO rebuild kit. Driveshaft loop.Still need to get welded center diff, and transfer gears.
Anyone have a phone number or alternate means of contact by chance? Could you call English Racing and get them to contact him to let him know we want parts?
Did some black Friday shopping...Alto rebuild kit, Kiggly Flexplate, Kiggly 5-disc front clutch, and Kiggly Diff Support SaddleI sent an email to Jeff Bush a few days ago to get a converter setup and transfer gears, but he hasn't responded back to me yet. Does anyone know the best way to get...
Looking for rods and pistons and wanting to go 2.0L long rod with aluminum rods. Trying to find the right part numbers for this setup. R&R or Vader 156mm -bolt rods and Wiseco 1400HD pistons. Running flex-fuel so I'm looking at somewhere between 9-10:1 compression. If these aren't off the shelf...
Anyone have recommendations on buying or getting a cage done in Northeast Ohio? Was looking at the following after reading around on the forums.Ken's Kustom Chassis

Ya your in the thick of it now. The IPT rebuild kit includes their 5-disc front clutch and their end clutch kit and its about $50 more than buying everything separate. How do you feel about replacing bearings or anything beyond the O-rings and clutches? Are you having someone weld the diff or...
Thanks, didn't even think about looking on Ebay. I don't have Facebook does Jeff have an email? I think I'm going to go with the Kingly 6-disc front clutch pack. Do you know of any disadvantages over the 5-disc other than the steels are thinner and could warp easier?
I'm sure the 6266 well be awesome, especially since you won't be restricted into a mitsu hot side even at the new 10cm. I really don't like auto that much either but in order to make this thing go down the 1/4 and be semi reliable and not a giant money pit I'm going that route.
Where are you getting all your parts, I'm going to be starting my auto swap winter/spring. Do you have to get the transfer gears through the JB Designs as well as the converter and pan? Where did you get your Alto rebuild kit from?
I've never had a turbo this big so the late spool will take some getting used to, but once you are on boost it pulls insane. I know he kept it really safe with the stock rods and trans. The car drives awesome now though even just general street-ability thanks to Vegas Smith on the idle...
Right now I'm leaving it at 520whp on E85, I' planning to build a new short block over winter and I will take it back in the spring. He said there is a lot left but it's not worth breaking a rod right now.
Nate called today car made 520whp on E85 @ 30psi, I'm having him add an electronic boost controller to it while its at their shop. He said there is a lot left on the table and it's super safe for now with the semi-stock bottom end. Next step is built motor and drivetrain upgrades.
I dropped the car off for flex fuel tune yesterday, I got a call from Nate today and the car made 450whp on 93 @ 24psi. He was going to start tuning on E85 this afternoon and tomorrow.
Well that makes me feel better, I was just trying to make sure everything is solid for them and all they need to do is the tuning. You guys have all really helped, the car has never idled so good. It still needs a little work on stalling coming to a stop light or sign but even that is better...
I changed out my ISC o-ring today and did a boost leak test. I think this leak was bigger than I thought because now I can blow the tester off the turbo and the system will hold pressure for minutes. I also swapped out the TPS sensor out with a spare I had laying around and readjusted it. I also...
I'm running the ECMlink direct cable to the MAF connector for speed density. Nothing is spliced on the original engine harness. The sensor outputs going to 5V tells me the sensor ground circuit is the issue otherwise it would be going to 0V with the 5V supply dropping out. If the 5V supply was...
No retaining clip, I was zip-tieing it before on my previous build. I had thought about ordering a connector kit and changing out all the connectors that are cracked or missing wire clips.I have a feeling that I'm losing the sensor ground at one of the intermediate junctions inside the harness...
