i've seen few around my area for 2,500 ish for a decent one ( gsx ). You can definetly build your 1.8 car. Buy a 2.0 turbo block and rebuild to stock or upgrade pistons, rods, crank etc... and a turbo fwd tranny. I had a 1.8 when I first stared out also. Made it to a 2.0 then 2.0 fwd turbo...

I think the ticking has a lot to do with the 89 gas... I worked at mitsubishi in florida and I asked the shop foreman about this before. because I wanted to get better gas milage because 93 burns faster... he said if u use anything less than 93 it can and ###### will start pinging.... in shop...

yes the connectors from the pop up lights to the projectors are different.. I personally think it quicker to cut and splice but u have to figure ou which wire goes where they are different colors from91 to 92... I will try to take a few pics this afternoon... the light harness if I remember...
the whole wire harness for the lights or u can cut and splice...much harder but I didn't have the money or time to go to a junk yard after I just my engine
do u have the turbo or n/t flywheel and clutcj kit... u deff. need the turbo flywheel and clutch kit. and fwd turbo tranny...u should be able to use the same axles...I have done the same thing u are doing..good luck
