I dont know about this one. Sounds kinda shady, why not get it out of impound and then sell it. If you are mechanically inclined I would say go with him to get it out and then buy it. But if it needs an engine I would say pass. There are better deals out there. just my 2 cents
You should just build the motor now, so you dont have to later. Then you dont have to worry about the motor later. And then follow the tech guide thats on the main page. That should get you started.
Well first off you cant tune anything because you still have your stock injectors. You need bigger injectors so the safc will compensate for them. And get a logger at least, that will help alot.
No theres no reason to get an evo mas. The 2g's mas is good for over 500 horses. 850's should be fine, but if your buying new why not go with 1050's. You never know about your future plans. That way you never have to upgrade.
Yes you need bigger injectors for the safc, also you need a logger to see whats going on. But do a blt first to see if that is your problem. Hope that helps.
The maf sensors are all the same for 2g's. It doesnt matter what year. 95-99. Anyone will work. And 4200 is alot for having a problem with it. Talk him down.
Check your alternator, It might of got oil inside it. That could be one reason. Also what sounds does it make when you turn the key? Does it just click, does it try to turn over? Let us know
What is that going to do? What you need to do is first get a helicoil kit to fix the bolt hole from being stripped. And then you need to clean up arould the hole and then tighten it down. It should be tight and you should be set. I know this because this is what I am currently in the process of...
there still out of stock, I would buy the one on ebay because you will get it faster. The last time I checked(2 weeks ago) they were still out of stock.
he says tuning because with the 750cc fuel injectors, you have to tune them so the car runs right. By either an safc or dsmlink or a custom chip or a maft. Ask how much boost he is running?
Well something is definately wrong, are you sure that its an evo fuel pump? If it is then check all your connections, does it sputter or does it hit fuel cut?
I know the hx35 is bigger than the hy35 but dont they roughly make the same amount of power? Does anyone know what they flow, and cant you just have a mbc to control boost, instead of getting a new wastegate actuator?
Is anyone using the hy35 or is the hx35 just that much better? All I hear about is the hx35. You would think that since the hy35 already comes with a downpipe it would be easier to use, or am I completely wrong.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
I know you can use a honda radiator but thats like a quarter size of a dsm radiator, but it wont keep your car from overheating. Why do you want a small radiator anyway?
He means that a tubular manifold does not have a heat shield. My car didnt come with a heat shield, neither of them. And I have never had a problem with overheating or anything melting. Hope that helps. Winter
post a link, I personally would go with a 16g off ebay. I know there is one person on here that runs a 20g off ebay. try searching you will probably find it.
How much power are you looking at making? YOu know these supra sidemounts are able to hold 300 hp stock from the supra's. I remember seeing that the limit for these intercoolers are around 400 hp.
The answer is no, the stock fuel pump can not keep up with the boost you will want to run. Just think of it as having stock injectors. I would say 14psi max. But you can always test it. You have dsmlink so just keep checking your logs.
