gofer i am currently doing the gas tank wiring but in the 2nd sender harness there is two yellow/black cables. i was wondering how you figure out which one to use? i just snaped a picture of the harness to show what i am trying to figure. is it the one next to the yellow(solder cable) or the one...
well 98gsxin i order a passenger side axle for my awd swap from them. what was deliver was a master pro box and since it took way to long i had order an axle from oreilly's to use as a temp. i had not installed the oreillys one so i compared both and it was the exact same thing. if you want to...
just go with the GSP axles from advance or the Master Pro from oreilly's. dsmgraveyard's "OE" axles are master pro why not just get them from oreilly's for half off.

same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago SwampRat . i walk into o'reillys to buy oil when i step out a guy is standing there looking at my car he starts talking about intakes and superchargers. then he challenges me to race his buddy's s2000.
the ghetto way is simply to crack a line and allow the freon to escape to the atmosphere . But you will have to pull a vacuum on the system if you want to recharge it
I paid $5000 for my 97 gst 5 years ago in California , it had no cat and expired tags since 2001, i had to pay $800 in penalties to register the car and another $600 to get a cat so i could pass the smog test. car was all riced out painted interior. now that i think about it i over payed but the...
Well I was install some new kyb gr-2 a while ago in my car. Everything was good(aside from the left rear lower shock bolt)
But the top bolt from my driver side damper fork was really stiff coming out. I seemed the previews owner or a shop had used an air wrench on the bolt. So I took the bolt...
thanks guys after 3 hours of frustrations it is done, but i had to use pb blaster, heat, breaker bar. the funny thing is that the other side came loose without a problem i just put a wrench and pulled with a breaker bar and it came out. i was already expecting to start struggling but i guess i...
the nut is turning as i try to remove the bolt. I have tried using a wrench to hold the nut but the bolt seems to only rotate a bit and then it goes back, almost like if the bolt is stuck to the strut bushing.
well someone told me that most after market radios have a built in amp. and the stock unit does not, that is why they need the infinity amp. in my case i don't really notice a difference in sound but i really don't crank the volume all the way up.
Ok probably this is not what you are trying to do, but I was in the same place about a year ago. What I decided to do was bypass my stock amp and not bother using an harness adaptor and just cut into the original harness. I followed the tech article under Electrical & Wiring. Hope this helps...
Thanks guys I truly appreciate all the input sorry for being so ignorant in this subject. i guess I will go and buy the craftsman's unit from sears. Its only 20 dollars if its a bad choice oh well I have wasted more on retarded thing.
well am having a no start problem and i want to test the cas and other sensors. thats pretty much what i need one for. so you guys say a basic cheap multi-meter will work for most of the test the book shows you how to do
Well I think its time to buy a Multi-Meter. But after seeing all the different options and styles I ended with no meter but with many questions. My question is: what is a good multi-meter to get, what options should I look for, what price range, and what brands. Also I dont want to waste a ton...
After a sudden no start I began to diagnose the problem. I found the problem to be a no spark. I removed the power tr to tested it. but i don't know how to test them. so I took it to be tested in AutoZone. They determine it was no good. So I order another one. After installing the new unit the...
ok i will get one tomorrow hopefully i will get all the small glitches out of my car so i can finaly start driving my car since i have owned this car for almost 3 years and i have only driven it around 2000 miles and 1200 miles of them are from me bring the car from California to texas
this is my first attempt on locating bad grounds, shorts, and battery drain. so i got a test light(innova 3420) now how do i test. meaning the connection since i have a negative and positive clamps on my test light. i have read luv2rallye article, it mentions to put the test light between the...

i did my timing belt once. it was my first big job too. but i work in the mitsu dealer and the car is here so i thought of letting someone do the whole job correctly and seeing how they do it so i can learn a little better. also i dont have the time since i go to school and then i have to go to...
first of all my water pump is leaking so i am replacing the pump and timing belt.
my questiuon is how much more work will it be for a mechanic to change the head gasket.
i say this because a mitsu mechanic said he will do my water pump and timing for 100 bucks if i bring the parts. but once i...
thanks to everyone helping. i will take the car to my job were i will probably rebuilt the bottom since i think it is time for A new timing belt (68,000 miles).
well i go to school and i finally got the chance to come back home to fix my car(blow turbo).
the installation was good and fast. the problem happen when i started putting coolant on. i heard i small leak thinking i had forgotten to connect a coolant line i when down to find out that the...
ok i got a super 16g from my friend. he told me to try it and if i like. i can keep it for a couple of dollars. the problem is that the waste gate actuator does not work. my question is were can i get a actuator for this turbo? should i get the actuator from Hahn, or after market(names please).
oh about the leak. when i got the turbo(used) one of the bolts from the oil return line was striped. so i got someone to install a helicoil. but the guy that was doing this told me that it was going to be hard since it was striped to deep. so i think he drill all the way through and that is were...
yeah i know i will have some lag
also the 7bolt will be replace in about 2 months with a 6bolt mild built engine.
the thing is that i want a turbo i can reach 450 but i am not planning on bringing the turbo until i get the 6 bolt swap. i just want something that i can explore with. since i am...
