Can you still use the 2G Timing Belt if you are keeping the 2G Head and installing it on a 6 Bolt? It would make since to swap the T-Belt if you were changing to a 1G Head, but I cant seem to find anywhere where it says that you have to go to a 1G T-Belt if you are keeping the 2G Head.thanks
Found it the Yahoo A/T DSM Group in the Files area. here is the spreasheet:PART NAME (PNC) REPLACEMENT PART # PRICE Quantity TOTAL

1.) Transmission AWD(W5M33), 95-96 or 97-99 Tranny, Transfer and Rear End must either be from 95-96 or 97-99. You cannot mix between 95-96 with 97-99.
2.) Transfer Case, 95-96 or 97-99 Tranny, Transfer and Rear End must either be from 95-96 or 97-99. You cannot mix between 95-96 with...
I just completed the swap on my 99GSX, well worth the $$$, time and effort. Cost me about $1300 to do the swap shopping around for the parts. Everything works fine except Cruise Control, which I do not use anyway.Just do some research, and searches all info is accessible and it is not a...
Start with changing the tranny filter and the fluid. Sounds like the same problems I was having with the shifting from 1-2 and 2-3. If your problem is OverDrive then it maybe your End Clutches. My problem was first slipping while in OverDrive and then eventually the slipping from 1-2 and...
Well, if you think about it at the time, post the results. I am very interested in the FP 3052, I am currently running a Internally gated Green. I am very unhappy with the internal wastegate, so I will either mod the Green to a external setup or sell as is an purchase the FP 3052.fwm
Can you elaborate more on taking a 2.4 spyder auto tranny ecu and replace the stock 2G tranny ecu with it? What were the differences i shift points?fwm
dave99gst,Thanks for the help, I knew that I had seen it somewhere on someone's website and it was your website. I just could not remember whose site though.By the way, Nice Car!thanks

Anyone have a link or schematic for wiring a Remote Starter in a 1G DSM A/T. I am removing from a 2G DSM and reinstalling on a 1G, a wiring schematic would make it a whole lot easier.thanks

Note:On 2G DSM's when your intake temp is above 84 Deg F, you will lose 1 degree of timing. The same holds true if the Intake Temp is below is below 34 deg F. Also, if your coolant temp is below 206 deg F you will get full timing. If it goes above 206 deg F, you will lose one degree and...
If you are interested in "AntiLag", DSMlink Version 2 has a dragstrip antilag feature. From all the info I have gathered so far the DSMlink Antilag feature will spool a 50 trim turbo at the line enough to open the wastegate. For more info go the their website, http://dsmlink.com/fwm
I am about to do the swap also, and as far as I know the front axles are different between 2G Auto and M/T. I have also looked on CAPS and the part numbers between the auto and M/T are different. You will also need to change the transfer case and rear differential.fwm
I'm about to do it, have all parts coming from one guy. I roughly got everything for about $1000, but I plan on the B&M Shifter, stiff bushings, and a few other things. Will probably bring it up to $1300, and that is not bad. You figure if you were to buy a higher stall torque converter that...
All in a matter of "Opinion", I like it and I think it is easy to set. The instruction book is straight forward, so you should not have any problems.fwm
Here is a interesting read for you:http://www.teamnabr.com/ubbpub/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=002865Also, here is a 2G Head on a 6 Bolt. So I must be the second person who wanted to do this: http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/1g2g.htm
I agree, the 1G CAS is the way to go. Their is alot of machine work and fill work to do, if I don't go the 1G CAS route. The 1G CAS mounting and wiring looks pretty straight forward.thanks for the reply
I want to send my 2G head out to get some port work done to it, but it will be going back on my 7 bolt until I run into problems. When that time comes I want to replace with 6 bolt and reuse the modified 2G Head. What issues will I have? I believe I read on the NABR forum that I may have to...
What metal is a 2G Exhaust Manifold made of? Is it Cast Steel or Cast Iron? I am mounting an external wastegate and need to know what type of metal it is. You can sometimes go by the spark it makes when grinding or I can have a metal test done here at work. But, maybe someone here already...
Agreed, but If you are wanting to boost 24 psi and up then I would go External. It seems that the majority of the internal gate green owners are having issues running higher boost, if they can even run it at all.Pay now or Pay later, it's his choiceiron
Totally Streetable full boost on my setup by 36-3700rpm. As far as the Internal Gate, take a look at this thread and make your own choice. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73332 . I think if I was just purchasing a Green I would go with the an External Wastegate (the...
Well don't leave DSMLink out of the equation.-Fuel Control

Why, yes it does!I would go the O2 housing External Wastegate mount, but with my O2 Eliminator Housing and Exhaust, it would cost a lot more $$$ to go that route. Although, I have done a search and read that it has not been proven or it really does not make much of a peformance difference...
Please post you pics or links of any photos of an External Wastegate mounted to the Exhaust Manifold, preferably stock DSM exhaust manifolds. Looking for ideas.thanks

What is the best location to mount the External Wastegate? Off of the Exhaust Manifold or Off of the O2 housing? Which method would be the best? I will be routing the wastegate back into the exhaust for emmisions and noise.thanks
