Thai and Jay are both good friends of mine. The 91 is a 5 speed and the 92 is an auto. Both got fp3065
I love how Ken herring clowned himself by eating his words. Enjoy!

ok. Why dont you loop the lines going to the cooler so its bypassed and if thats the problem get a 90 oil cooler setup or a forward facing filter bracket for like 25 bucks. Im done here im getting a headache
fill them with window weld. Its polyurethane and is easy to do without having to fool around with pressing bushings out. Advanced auto sells it for like $12
I had two transmissions get stuck in 4th. Both times the shift fork was broken. The broken fork can get caught in the gears and the tires can suddenly lock up, it happened to me trying to drive the car. Your best bet is to get it rebuilt by someone unless your very comfortable with your...
you dont have to mess with the timing belt or cover. You just remove the a/c, and alternator belts, then you just remover the 4 bolts holding on the pulley and put on your fluidampr. I have had a fluidampr on my car for 7k miles and its great. It is one of the few pars that will probably outlast...
If you don't have years of experience and flowbench testing(and screwing up several heads) you will make the head flow worse. You really need to know what your doing. Unless your making some serious hp its not even worth it imo. People run low 9 sec 1/4 mile with the stock unported 1g head...
No way. A 1.2 is beyond a "good" 60ft. You need slicks, a big turbo, stiff ass suspension, weight reduction, and still couldnt cut a 1.2. A 1.2 on a bone stock 1g is the funniest thing Iv heard all day. ROFLROFL
No guys. The only hacking I did was of the $20 vette. All I ever had was just the engine of the 4g63. I didn't have the whole car. I didnt want to damage the 4g63 engine so its actually just sitting in there with a folded up piece of paper under it to keep it straight. I pretty much just ripped...
I dont think I will get into the ic pipes and stuff. All I did was rip the old engine out and set the 4g63 in there. If you look closely you can see the engine is just sitting on a folded up piece of paper to keep it flat. It's not connected to anything.
Thanks for the comments guys
You should take a pic from an angle. Right now it looks like any other 1gb. I want to see how it matches the 1ga sides. Since the sides are also different. I have always wondered hows this rear end would look on a 1ga. Everything looks lined up pretty good :thumb:
On the number 1 runner(closest to timing belt)
When somthing is tapped that means a hole has already been drilled and threads have been tapped. All you have to do is remove a plug and screw your egt in the hole.
Yes 97gsx is correct. Dont run you car anymore untill you get all the pieces of the belt out or it will take out your timing belt. I've seen too many peoples valves get bent because of a bad balance shaft belt coming apart and eventually tangling up in the timing belt and ruining the motor. And...
No it fine. All you have to do is email DSM link with the old screenname and they will do a transfer of ownership. People do it all the time. Just make sure you get the newest version DSMLINK-V2.
Do you have oil pressure? Is your oil press gauge working correctly? You have to be more specific about what the car is doing or what noises its making, and a generall area that the noise sounds like it coming from.
yes all the 1g heads are the same except the bolt holes.. If you get a 1g 7bolt head you can enlargen the holes with a drill bit. It needs to be enlarged by 1mm(7bolts have 11mm holes and 6bolts have 12mm holes) We have done it several times. So yes any 1g head will work
They dont make them anymore. You would have to find a used one. I would buy a jm fabrications smim. They are better than the bj's and are only $400-$450. My friend just took his bj's intake off his car because it cracked the welds across every runner.
Are all you ground wires hooked up? The one's on the intake manifold, fire wall, tranny ect. Make sure the grounds are clean and making a good connection.
I take it the car is not a convertible because those had a 4g64. Can you take a pic of the engine bay? If you look at the engine photos in the gallery, you will see the most distinct difference between the 420a and 4g63 is the valve cover.
chamfer is when they cut the sides of the bearing. It will look narrower. The reason you have to do this with the eagle cranks is so the edge of the bearing does not rub the crankshaft. The machine shop I took my engine to explained this to me.
I also have an eagle 100mm crank. Whatever bearings you use, they must be chamfered when using that crankshaft. The clevite bearings that came with my crank were already chamfered.
The thermostat has nothing to do with measuring the tempature. It will not change how the guage works. The coolant tempature sensor measures the temp for the ecu and the guage.
The thermostat stays closed and prevents coolant from circulating so the engine can warm up. when the temp reaches...
Also once you get the nut off, if the axle is stuck in the hub dont hit the threads with a hammer. You will mushroom the end of the axle and then its really not coming out. Thread the big nut back on flush with the end of the threads then whack away with a sledge hammer.
this is the socket set I use. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=5494 Its 3/4 inch drive so you will never be able to break it. Its one of the bes tools Ive bought. You will need to put the wheel back on while someone holds the brake. Then use a cheater bar on the...
The fuidampr is a very good investment. Its good for high revving dsms and motors with the balance shafts removed. It smooths out vibrations in the motor that can hurt the bottom end during high rpms. I have a fluidampr and I definatly noticed a difference.
Here is a link for some high output alternators. They dont currentky make one for a dsm but they can custom build you an alternator. Maybe if we got a few people to go in we could convince then to mass produce them.

Yes definatly install a new fork and pivot ball. If you dont have your clutch pedal assy adjusted right it wont disengage enough. Also if your cluch pedal assy is worn it wont let your clutch disengage enough. Here is some good info http://www.teamrip.com/clutch%20adjustment.html
