I will look more closely when I get home today. it is idling as if the bov was not recirculated, but it is. Just a rough idle. I would assume no fpr would be ok as the injectors are still going to flow the same. I will look more closely later and post. thanks
I wasn't able to find much on this, so hopefully I can get some guidance. I finished my 20g install last night and when I fired the car up its running a little rough. I didn't try to drive it yet in case I missed something. I don't have a check engine light on or anything and I cant find any...
Well I haven't posted in a while so here is the update. Turbo itself is in, it was a snug fit. I used an install kit from forced performance which I found out was overkill for me. The oil return adapter was not fitting well so I made up my own that hopefully works. Having some trouble uploading...
Im pretty sure the twist top is on the awd models. i just changed mine and that looks like the stock pump. Walbro 255 looks the same but says walbro on the side.
Walbro 255 came in this weekend so I started that swap. Access to the pump is under the passenger side rear seat. It wouldn't be bad but I have my air tank setup there so it was a little tight. Also the fuel line heading to the engine was a pain. Had to cut the hose out and remove it. Haven't...
i saw there is a set of PTE 1200cc injectors in the classifieds, will those work for an e85 tune? i am already trying to sell the safc2. Ordered a few gaskets and walbro yesterday. I will do the rewire as well. Trying to make a dent in the parts i need to achieve this goal so if im forgetting...
I should have done one of these a long time ago but oh well. I am trying my luck at replacing the turbo so here we go. Pulled the stock turbo this weekend, have a 20g apparently rebuilt by Justin going in soon. Taking it out wasnt bad at all, few hours of work. I will start posting pics as i...
well i havent drivin the car since last spring so im not worried about that. Im on their website now reading and learning what i can. I think i pulled the trigger early on buying the safc2 so i think i will be selling that and getting link. Seems like the e85 tune might be best for what im...
thanks for the responses. i have seen quite a few suggestions on the ecmlink. i guess i am just a little intimidated with my lack of tuning knowledge. i kinda figured 350 would be about the best i could push this motor but i dont know how crazy i want to get with this build. if i keep the car...
Well first i would like to thank all the experts for what i have already learned, ive been reading on here for a long time. This weekend i will be attempting a build thread for my turbo install, havent done one before. Here is what i am starting with, on a 97 gst spyder.
Already have...

looks like a nice start especially unmolested. Reminds me of my car when i got it! looking forward to see where this goes. Top can be pricey, i had mine replaced a few years ago and it comes with the glass stiched in. Also there are 2 small arms in the frame that tend to bend, as mine did, so...
i would agree that the dash is not the best location for the tweeters, but there really isnt a great place for them. You can try to do a custom kick panel but thats not the best either. What i did was replace those in the dash with tweeters for my component setup (Infinity Kappa) and kept the...
I see its been a while since anyone responded to this but i had mine installed at a local alarm shop. I would have to double check the solenoids used but they work good enough but i dont drive it every day. Instead of an emergency button i had them run 2 wires hidden in the trunk, direct from...
if you are looking for the best sound i would consider a component system that will replace the tweeters in the dash as well as the doors. They might be a little smaller but you can make them work, and the doors will be a good fit. I have the infinity kappas and they are crytal clear.
i used the greddy hard pipe kit, but that was flanged for the greddy bov. That install was real smooth though, everything lined up real good. Greddy Intercooler Piping Kit Mitsubishi Eclipse GST GSX 95-99
I dont know how much research you have done on the body kits from ED but dont expect that to fit well either. Its my understanding that most kits will be a mess to deal with, i got mine from ED and the rear bumper was a disaster. PM me if you want to see pics and more detail. I need to start a...
I just found this build and this car looks great! I wish i would have taken my build in a similar direction. Maybe i will get to see it at Automotion this year. I know how you feel with wanting a car that looks unique to your personality. I do regret stripping the stock look away though.
I have viper with smartstart. Anytime the alarm is set off it will page my keychain if within range, now of course there is an app on the iphone you can control the alarm anywhere you get a signal. Can be tracked that way too. Good investment in my opinion
I went with a more wild kit recently and had a body shop do all off the work. The rear bumper was a nightmare, they had to cut it in half and fit one side at a time to make it look good. Then one section had to be cut in like 6 pieces. Needless to say im glad i didnt even attempt it. the kit...
hey i see your trying to get some dsm'ers together, id like to get into that but im just south of milwaukee. however i will be at the import wars this weekend sep 16th at great lakes dragaway and i dont think that is too far from the chicago area
