I recently took my dash apart to clear out a dozen or so dead mice from my blower basket. Since putting everything back together, my diagnostic port, tach, temp and gas gauge have all stopped working. Blower isn't working either. The oil light is now stuck on as well. I've checked tach and data...
Your car has a number of drain tubes in the drip rails, sunroof, and hatch. All clog easily. I don't have my manual handy so I can't say exactly where they are, but from experience I know this is likely what's happening. I've cleaned mine out with speaker wire in the past, then poured water to...
Wow that's not bad. I remember lots of good upholstery shops back in LA. They are far and few between here on the east coast. Looks like I might have to find a pro. Thanks guys.
Anyone tried to restore their seats? The foam has gone flat in my factory fabric seats and I'm practically riding on springs. It's also possible that mice have eaten it all. I don't want to replace them because the fabric is perfect. I'd prefer to fix them, Just wondering if anyone else has...
Never seen a t25 in a 1g before. An odd choice, but I'm sure it works. Someone might have picked the bones of a 2g for spare parts to get this one running.Looks like there is a clear cover on the 2g maf keeping dirt and moisture out. I've never opened mine up so can anyone tell if it's been...
Does the car cut out or break up at 3k while accelerating or is the idle surging to 3k? You likely have a few issues that are causing the problem. GofaST4life is absolutely right. Find an issue, search the forum for the cause and knock them out one at a time. The answers are all here too because...
Start by checking plugs and wires, then the coil pack for cracks. Look for any arcing of the spark. If nothing, move onto general maintenance including boost leak test. All very common issues.
Follow this diagram for rerouting your vacuum lines

To recirculate that BOV you can pick some flex tubing up at home depot. I believe it is 1 1/2 inch. Maybe someone else can chime in with the exact size. That should clear up the bucking you feel when accelerating.
No luck here with the Motive either. I modified my cap and attempted to seal it with RTV. Fluid still found a weak spot and dumped everywhere. In the end, Speedbleeders or gravity seem to be your best bet on this system.
I live a few blocks away and see your car all the time. Let me know if you need a hand.If you need a tuner, call this place http://www.moto-east.com/ and talk to Mike. They are down on Lehigh Drive. He used to have a few DSM's.
Sounds like rubbing on the inside or outside of the timing cover. I had a similar problem recently when I mixed up the various length bolts. Shine light from above and below and check for light between the cover and pulleys.
Glad you chimed in ClassicCar. Good to know you still have the car and it hasn't ended up in some Buy-Here-Pay-Here lot. Not sure if you saw that CL ad or not, but some scammer had posted a Talon for sale with your pics.
That sucks! Love this car. One of the cleanest 4G63's I've ever seen. Good luck with the rebuild. Not sure if you mentioned it, but what method did you use to polish the brake booster, BOV, and wastegate if you don't mind me asking? Looks really good. Also wondering if they oxidized or began...
Like Bastard said or JMF makes one which should work.

Highly unlikely. Looks like a scam, but so weird to use a one off car like that. Was hoping the owner would jump in and confirm. I'd hate to think I'm missing out. Got cash in hand!!!! Lol
Drill it and back it out. I'd recommend using a hand chuck from a tap and die set to hold the bit. Then twist an easy out in. Might take a while, but it's the least destructive way. That screw is a b*tch to get to even when it's not stripped..
I doubt the RPM was responsible. Could be a lot of things on a race car, but most likely a fuse or loose connection. Is there a kill switch anywhere? If so, Check that, ECU connectors, break out your multimeter and start checking voltage and grounds from the battery back to the ECU. I'd say it...
In Easton, no you will not pass. It differs from county to county in PA though. I hear that in the Poconos they have no emissions testing requirements. In Northampton County, they will likely do a visual check and they certainly test for emissions.
If the car isn't your daily, do what I did and...
Here you go: http://www.jnztuning.com/index.php?cPath=21_32_153_731Haven't done it yet myself, but should be fairly simple. JNZ should have everything you need and they can answer all of your questions. Been helping me out for years
This is for the wind deflector that fits in place of the sunroof? My car is 3/90 and my original deflector was stolen. I picked up a replacement a few years ago and it never quite fit without forcing it. The hinges seem correct but its almost as if the were spaced too far apart or not at the...
Lando is correct. Nothing custom on that car as it is a standard 1992-1994 Plymouth Laser parts that can be sourced from most junkyards, Ebay, classifieds, etc. I always thought that spoiler looked cool:thumb:
It's pretty amazing what you see posted. I've managed to be a member of this site for 13 years with a post count under 100 by searching and reading. In that time I've tacked nearly every major dsm job imaginable thanks to Tuners and the wealth of info available. More than can be said of some of...
All depends. Is the timing belt still on and tight? You said it looks like it got caught on something. If the belt is intact, you can Slowly rotate the crank to TDC and see if everything is lined up. Make sure the timing marks on the cam gears still Line up. Then report back and take it from there.
Whatever you do, do not try to crank that engine till you tear it down and figure what happened. You could bend your valves if the belt let loose. What makes you think the belt got snagged? Is it ripped or gashed? Take it apart and let us know. Good luck.
I think I poorly phrased the question. Wheels don't spin in neutral which is good, but when I try to manually spin the wheels it feels like the brakes are hanging up. Never was an issue before so I questioned my flywheel install. Ill check the brakes in the AM and report back. Thank you for the...
Like the title says, changed my flywheel back to stock from a Fidanza. I went for a spin around the block and everything seemed fine, but out of curiosity, lifted the car up to make sure that my front wheels weren't spinning in neutral. No problem, but I found a slight resistance on the...
I have a perfectly good O2 sensor installed in my O2 housing and currently have my wideband installed in my downpipe. A few inches past the flex. Not really in an optimal position. I'm thinking about replacing the downpipe and before I have a new bung welded in, was wondering if I should just...
1ga and 1gb TB will fit the same ISC if you extend the wires. After months of troubleshooting I ended up switching to a 1GB TB. The ISC is in a terrible location on the 90. While troubleshooting I picked up a $90 black ISC from National Auto. Look for a coupon if you want to go that route. If...
Try this guy.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/vendor-announcements/412340-genuine-german-hella-quality-lighting-products-stock.htmlJust ordered mine, but lots of good reviews and HID upgrade option.
I have the D3000 and grew out of it in 1 month. Takes terrible night time pics IMO. I would definately start with the 3100 if I had it to do over. I've seen it new recently for around $550 which is not a bad deal. Good friend of mine also started with the 3000 and wasn't impressed either. Right...
It's possible that the 2G mirror is different, but the 1G rear view slides down onto a bracket mounted to the windshield and is held in place by a small allen set screw. Look close, it should be there.
