I'm down for the car show contest. I don't if you can have just a best 2g category, I mean, I would maybe think of splitting it up a little, like 2ga eclipse/talon( They look like each other too much to split IMO, 2gb eclipse, 2gb talon? Do 1ga and 1gb? Just some suggestions...

I agree, plus who knows how the list people going will change between now and July. I just saw it's up to 67. By July, 100 may not be too far off lol.

Amen! Haha! The only time I made it to Norwalk was for the shootout! Drove my white GST with the EDM Tail Lights( which are now in my GSX because I sold the GST lol). That is a nice track, especially after being to dragway 42 and Quaker lol. Definitely will meet up this year!

Well my first dsm , a 96 RS 5SPEED, ran up til little over 130 ...after i lowered it, intake, header, exhaust, coil...the car died out at 125...now fast forward 5 years to my 98 Esi auto and it struggles to hit 102 stock, then after the stage 2 cams , bigger intake manifold, free flowing...

Ok I did a search first with every limiter question pertaining to fwd turbo cars...well mine is a 98 ESi automatic and couple nights ago it pulled decently up to 100 mph and just fell FLAT on its face ...the motor was freshly done and has a stage 2 head on it now so i know it shouldnt just die...

Regapped a set of 6es's to .023 and the car is alot better now. I actually got to feel a coupel of hard pulls with no sputtering, tho it still once awhile will have a hick up...but no where near as bad. Thanks!

Ok...so i was on Ebay Germany the other day ( yes looking for those amber tail lights) and I came across a 98 Eclipse what i thought was a GS...it had teh side skirts and all the options, auto 420a NT car right?...Wrong...the Badge on the hatch said "GX"WTF...then i remembered back when playing...

Oh my goof ...the "96 Eclipse NT" under my avatar is actually my black eclipse(see gallery) , not the silver talon...the talon is a 98...

Did you convert your front end to a 2gb Talon nose?...i have ,also, learned that "silver mist" 97-98 talons are pretty rare too...problem is that its a non turbo automatic...therefore makes for a great head turner as a daily driver....while im trying to put this 95 TSi on the road sometime this...

Im in the same boat as to having to possible rebuild my auto awd trans for my 95' Tsi...I know teh IPT kit would be the best one to get, i ,also, noticed they sell a manual as well. So im thinking of buying the rebuild kit and the manual, tho , it should be noted that this trans DID NOT have any...

Ok, before we begin, some of you may already know this or have had this expierence but i thought it was worth sharing with the rest of the DSM community here.It all started with a 926 dollar 95 TSi AWD Auto with about 120k of maintenace-less miles on it. The only gear it had at time of...

I would first start off by saying that the 3rd gen cars dont even share the same engines with a first gen. Its either a 3.0 V6 or 2.4 4Cyl. Havings aid that, i dont see how it would be even possible to try that. Best bet is to use a 1st gen auto trans, thats my thoughts on the issue...:dsm:

Ok i ran some serial numbers off this new trans. Should be noted that i bought the trans as a "JDM 95-99 AWD Auto" ...the JDM i dunno about but, heres whats happened so far...i ran the numbers with my local dealer, NOW he tells me i have a LATE 2g auto awd(late 96-99 and that would explain the...

From what i just expierenced, if your 2g is still a 7 bolt, it can be done for the most part( im still trying to figure out some things on mine)...I have a 93 auto awd tranny in my 95 TSi awd all bolted up and hooked up ( one connector is different and you would have to order a 7 bolt 93-94...

They started making 7 bolts in 93' and so the auto awd tranny's for the 7 bolt's were simluar to the set up on 2g's...even with the mounts( i know, i been told 1g trannys only have one mount on them ...except 93-94 7 bolt awd auto's) 6 bolts obviously were different. The 1g tranny is in, bolted...

Ok, will the late 1g trans work with a 2g early 7 bolt set up then? I ordered the flexplate for the 1g trans( which should fix the problem i ran into yesterday trying to line up a 2g flexplate with a 1g torque converter:cry:) ...only other thing different really is that plug on the front again...
