I'm sure I'm not the only one out there. A few years ago I picked up one of zaklee's clear cam covers, one of the first batches iirc. After all this time, it's fogged up badly. Has anyone refurbed their cam gear cover?
Went to grab a new set of NGK 6's for the colt the other day at Autozone. Guy looked them up, none in stock aka the usual, have a 50/50 chance of ever getting them off the shelf. Told the guy ok, just order up a set and I'll pick them up when they get in. So he looks them up on their distributor...
My best guess is that the orings dried up after sitting for the past 5 months or so. My brother had said there was a leak from an injector and I swapped a new oring onto it only to crank it and have another injector leak. He had been watching while I cranked so we swapped places. The first time...
Does anybody know how to get a tach signal off of a COP? The ignition components (cop wiring and ignitor) are 91+ but I need to a signal off of the coils to go into a '90 tach. Would I be able to run a tach filter off of one, or two opposing, coils and get a signal that way?
Points:Boost level doesn't matter, does it the same at 12psi as at 18psi.
Brand new .030 gapped ngk's hiding under a COP.
Logger says no knock and everything else is normal.
Base fuel pressure is set at 42ish psi w/rewired walbro 255hp and 680's.
It's always right when full boost is hit...
Runs 1/2/3 were all +/-1hp at 16lbs. Run 4 was at 18lbs, numbers are from 4500 peak due to fuel cut. Stock cams/bottom end 63T w/14b swapped into a CSM (buildup here). I'm happy with the numbers so far. :D
I've got copper electrical washers for electrical use, they're the exact same size/shape as the crush washers. Seem to have the same hardness in testing with a clippers.
I have no idea what this is but I believe it could be linked to my no-spark problem I have atm. It's about 2" tall and 1" square with the connector shown in the picture. I had the engine/trans out and the car sat outside for awhile, while moving wires, this this POURED water out of it so I...
I've got a MLS looking one that came with the FP manifold I recieved from the GB and a solid stainless steel gasket from RRE. Which is the better gasket to use?
Was halfway back to wisconsin before a "small oil leak" turned into a thrown rod. Live, learn, REBUILD BETTER!Speeding standing still. It's hungry for engine.145mph, yeah, I think I'll need that. :DRubber mallet: Check. PBlaster: Check. Simple Green: Check...Stock from the...
I'm about to fill up the egr passage (intake) with some furnace cement, good to 2100*F. I heard about this in my v8 days (heat crossover under the carb), but I didn't try it. This is on my acid washed, bead blasted, shaved intake I'm almost done with (right after powder coating and a little...
I was going to use 8.3 wiseco's (non-heavy duty) in my 6 bolt build but now a vendor has a deal on mahle's for less than I could get the wiseco's for. A search turned up two threads, neither of them answered the "which is better" question. I know that they're lighter and they use a tighter...
Anyone have a good place that knows 4g63t's? I can't take it to any place I know (which only deal with v8's), they'll look at me funny and then tell me to gtfo.

...you post a wanted to buy, someone responds, you send a couple messages back and forth, and then they stop talking and you can only figure that they sold it off for a higher price than they offered it to you at. BUT, a couple weeks later, there it is in a for sale ad. I guess some people just...
Pictures really speak for themselves. I'm sure "carnage" is a good description for what you'll see when the pics load.Feelings of emptiness."Hey, your crankshaft is showing!"Missing piece of block with rear mount still attached.Oil pan rail.Different...
I'd really like someone to do a hypothetical "build" of a shortblock (pistons/rods/bearings) at the following price levels, 500, 1000, 1500. With, if possible, hp levels they'll survive to using a big 16g and a psi range of 15-20. Figure I already have a clean block and crank (2.0) to start with.
Wondering if anyone has bought from "cxmotorsports" (ebay) and hasn't had problems? $350 shipped is a pretty good price, a little more than the ssautochrome big 16g. They're at 399 feedback with 100% positive but I'd rather hear some first hand experience from someone here...
Got this done at work the other day, coated, then sanded down the letters so they're bare metal. I think it turned out pretty well. This is the same color we use on lawnmower blades, no idea why a company wants their blades blue. If anyone's in the SE wis area and needs something powder coated...
