I was there with the rest of CUSCC hosting the event. We had well over 200 cars this year. It was a great turn out with a great variety of cars and even some exotics.

Were any of you guys at the HAP meet yesterday by chance?

You have that large of a turbo and are asking us to help you make it spool better. Did you do any research before you bought the turbo?

18 psi daily on my EVO3 with a TiAl 38mm. Holds rock solid.

I highly reccomend Brad Brooks. He lives in VA but does most of his tuning work at shops in MD.

The 2008 Sti's come with the VF-43 turbo that has a turbine housing not as prone to cracking as the VF-39's. Ohh and don't go around telling people to "crank up the boost because it can handle it". That is just terrible advice because some people will actually do just that with no supporting mods.

Sounds like the wastegate is stuck open.

Can this slave cylinder be used on any DSM transmissions because the one I have on my 2g is crapping out on me and I was wondering if this would be an upgrade of sorts?

If you can't hear it spooling I would check the wastegate and actuator to see if something went awry such as the actuator coming loose or the wastegate stuck open.

Do a compression test and post the results if the numbers are fine then drain your oil and check for metal shavings.

When you refilled the coolant, did you burp the system to rid it of any air bubbles?

I believe that it is quite strong but it is not as temperature compliant as radiator hose.

I think everyone agrees with this.

The CAS is bolted onto the end of the intake camshaft outside of the valve cover on the transmission side of the motor.

Are you looking for a standard alignment or something more custom?

Sounds like when the swap was completed the CAS was not swapped with the motor. A bad or wrong CAS will absolutely cause misfires througout the RPM range and will sometimes put the car into limp mode. Which color CAS does the car have?

The bung should come with the kit. And yes most muffler shops will be able to add the additional bung in 30 minutes tops.

Can you be more specific as to where this track is? Because like Burnett03 said Bandi is closed for the winter.

I run my Evo3 at spring pressure (19psi) on my TiAl 38mm all day long and it holds boost like a champ. No spiking or creeping at all.

16psi is the limit for a T-25.

They do give the car a much more harsh ride (you can feel all engine vibrations) and my steering wheel shakes at idle, this is without balance shafts also.

I second the Flagstaff/Baseline route in Boulder. Its incredibly fun and somewhat technical with hairpins and switchbacks and such. CUSCC, the car club for CU in boulder often makes runs up flagstaff and other mountain runs so if you guys are ever planning one let me know and i can get some guys...
