Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.........There is absolutely no custom anything involved. A double din will drop right in with the stock mounting hardware. A double din actually works better in our cars because it wont cover up the HVAC controls and vents like a flip out will.
Call them. They will provide you with any information you need. They have an excellent customer service/tech department. The phone number is provided in the install manual that comes with the kit.
Any double-din will drop right in. If you still have them, use stock mounting brackets. New Pioneers are very feature packed and are now available in that price range. (Without Nav)
This is what it will look like with zero modifications.
Do it! It's only a couple hours worth of work.
You have a '95 so I can gaurantee they are worn. You may not realize it now, but after you replace them you will notice that it will track straighter and wonder less.
You won't be dissapointed.
I've had the K Sports on my AWD for about 8 months now. Anything short of full soft is a bit rough on the street. They absolutely are a big improvement in handling over my old Tokico/Eibach setup, but noticeably harsher for daily driving. (Any coilover will be though.)
The customer support is...
I agree with Nessuno. I have never worried about the factory alarm in these cars. You will be unarming the alarm with the remote anyways, which will unlock the doors. You'll have no need to use the key to unlock the door.
Absolutely. It has 30 second, 1 minute and 3 minute times. Plus you can just use the remote start and turn it off after as long you want. (10 minute max)
I kept my turbo timer in as a backup but haven't used it in a year.
Whatever you do, just make sure you use a thick 12v source. I have...
I Have the same issue with finding the correct sensor. Every one that I order for my car ('95) is not the correct one. Let me know if the '97-'99 sensor fits.
I know you said you don't want just springs, but these are non adjustable. (As far as damping rate) you'll get absolutely no advantage with these over a good "proven" spring/shock combo. If its the coolness factor of having a coilover, fine, but whats going to happen when you blow a seal or...
Luckily thermostats are inexpensive. I've had to replace numerous faulty (brand new) ones.
As everyone has said, just replace it and I think you'll find thats the problem.
The good news is that you have to replace that timing belt anyway. At that point you can check/replace the crank position sensor and tensioners. You will also be able to tell if your timing belt jumped elsewhere.I had the same issue when my balance shaft belt snapped and binded the timing...

Check your timing. I would also charge the battery completely, not just jump start it. I would guess that you cranked the crap out of it and even though accessories work, it's probably dead.
I've had them on my AWD for about 8 months now. Anything short of full soft is a bit rough on the street. They absolutely are a big improvement in handling over my old Tokico/Eibach setup. (But noticeably harsher for daily driving).
The customer support is top notch. I called them 10 times while...
Very simple. Still have my trunk, have some great sounds and the whole thing only weighs about 50lbs.
The whole enclosure comes out in 2 minutes if I need to lose the weight. Its wired with quick disconnect clasps so I only have to unhook RCA's.
One Memphis 5 channel amp, 1 10" sub (actually am...

The thing that sucks is that "HE" bought it with a salvage title which means he may have not gotten the straight scoop from the previous owner. To have a salvage title it must have sustained a good deal of damage. Consider that the damage probably occurred when the car was worth more as well. It...
Hahahaa, I love it....."Temporary 30 minute fix that will probably be there for the next 5 years" route. Hopefully no one gets offended but that about sums up the average DSMer.
You might be better off scrapping the 5.1 idea and focusing on a decent traditional setup. being a hatchback you can get great sound from 6.5" components all around and a single 10" inch sub. There is too much road noise and vibrations in our cars to realistically build a great sounding 5.1...
1) Buy a headunit that controls your ipod. not an aux input, but one that is made to "control" it. It makes operation easier, it will keep it charged (you will use your ipod a lot more once you see how great it works and sounds). This option will also allow you to lock your ipod in the glove box...
Wow, that didn't take long. What I meant was that if some one who isn't in the know goes out and installs it himself/herself and it doesn't function properly, is it fair for other readers, or worse yet, the manufactures to get bad reviews? I think not. So what I meant by professional was some...
I can only speak for Autometer gauges as thats what I use in my daily driver and what I use in every race car my shop has built in the last 15 years. Never had a problem with Autometer. Reviews are only as good as the people using them, so if there have been problems ask them if they were...
The two you have are the front and rear. They are very easy to replace and shouldn't take but an hour. Since you already have them just install them. You probably won't notice anything different after the installation because you aren't replacing the left and right motor mounts. Most people...
Have you fixed this problem?
You are working on a vital part of your car. Do you have a manual? I haven' seem a manual yet (no matter how cheap) that doesn't display an image of this area and explain how to fix it. The $20 you will spend on a guide will pay off ten fold in the end. Do yourself...
To be honest.......... no one knows. Replace them and see what happens. You have to start somewhere. Without a baseline test, you won't know where to start.
Your car is 14 years old. Just replace whatever you think, or whatever people are telling you it may be. Whats the worst that could happen............... You might just have a car that works. The money you spent on a test instrument could have gone towards the repair. Chances are you will be...
The actual process of replacing the sensor is easy and only takes 5 minutes. It's removing and replacing the timing belt covers that absolutely suck!
You might want to take this time to replace your timing belt and balance shaft belt as well as adjusters. You'll thank yourself now so that you...
