Yea man honestly unless your getting a new Ebay holset knock off, they look identical. I have a HX40, never been rebuilt bought it used and it has over 10k on it no problems, has absolutely no shaft play I'm pretty sure if Holset was selling unbalanced turbos that they would be out of business...

I belive people should not at all be even feeding a journal bearing turbo off the ofh. I understand that yea you want clean oil because it is right after the oil filter but, turbo run on cars for sometimes over 200k what makes you think your turbo is going to blow because you aren't running it...
Also something to add. If you have a backed up drain, your turbo won't just blow up, you may get some smoke because oil is going past the seals. THIS DOES NOT mean your turbo is blown. Think of the oil seal in a turbo as piston rings, they have end gaps, so oil going past it doesn't mean its...

Buy a new Flange for the Bov you want. (Make sure its the correct metal for the piping.(Alum., Steel)) Get a place to cut off and grind down the old one, then reweld the new flange on and be done. Don't just hack it on, do it the right way.
On my car you have to remove the bolts holding the downpipe so you can slide the x-fercase off. My downpipe and Cat are welded together so you have to pry it out of the way as you pull the case off. I don't know about your downpipe, but I bet you do. Good luck:thumb:

You can accually use somthing combustable like carb cleaner, and spray in all areas a leak can come from. Inturn if there is, the vacume will suck up the carb cleaner and make the idle go higher.:thumb:

To add to this, so I don't make a new thread. I am accually putting 2g pistons in my 6 bolt. If I bore my cylinders .20 over can I still use the same pistons or does the size of it need to be bigger. Or is it the actual ring size that changes. Sorry to jump in on your thread.
When theres a boost leak you better fix that before even doing anything. Think of a boost leak as being sick. It wont get better unless you help it. Fix that because most likely you have a ton of little leaks cause one big problem :thumb: I do a leak test every week, but I also run 19psi...
