Thanks everyone I'm just like all of you I can't believe the deal I got, and yes locke the top halfs are tinted, I"ll definetly be cruising around so look for me. Theres tons more on those stories I could elaborate on but I guess its nice once and a while to see a dsmer get the deal of a...
Alright well I love when you guys post up your long stories so I thought I would share mine . Well I bought my first 1998 eclipse gst shell before I could even drive legally with a crankwalked 7 bolt for 2000. The car was immaculate the cleanest 2g I've ever seen(until now, read on) red with...
sorry I wasn't thinking the pictures are the right size now...The sunroof it doesn't open, because both of the brackets that hold the sunroof glass are broken I"m trying to find out where I can get a replacement. Also the the gear inside the motor is stripped.
the shades are actually in there nice....like the sunroof was made for them. I just want to put a regular sunroof in there does anybody have the dimensions of their 96 sunroof? let me know thanks!
Alright so when I got my car I forgot to check out the sunroof. Basically I've never seen a sunroof like this on a 2g before so I"m thinking that its aftermarket. If its not someone let me know what exactly its from because its broken and I need a replacement. Also if anyone knows of any good...
I'm not trying to flame here but just to defend ebay intercoolers me and my buddy bought our intercoolers at the same time. I bought an ssautochrome and he bought the slowboy. He has a frank 4 turbo and I have a pte 50 trim, and I run 4 more psi than him keep in mind... So me 24psi him 19psi...
no its just randomly happins...you can tell when its going to happin becuase it will idle extremely low like 400rpms. I was wondering if a turbo being bad can cuase all of this, becuase I took off my exhuast manifold and there were tons of cracks in the exhaust housing and the turbo has a ton of...
1. Unscrew the nuts holding on the positive and negative cables. (2) undo the tensioner, should be a bolt that goes into the alternator on the left side and a bolt that's perpendicular screwing itself into the tensioner block. (3)You should be able to lift the alternator up and down, now take...
what color are the negative wires...the electrical was a mess from the last owner. This and the oil pressure sender wires are all I need to hook back up. I"ll check the arcing tonight
sorry checked those too...nothing...car runs fine now becuase its dry out so now I have to figure out what the rain or how the moisture is affecting it.
well I dont think its the coil pack becuase I replaced it with a new one...does anybody know side effects from not having the ground hooked up on the alternator?
Alright so my car will run fine and I think after it rains it starts to do this. What my car does is like run on 2 cylinders for a split second then run fine, then randomly bog, and if I press the gas it does nothing, just have to wait for it to like catch and the whole car will jerk and go back...
Ok so this turbo was on my car that I bought from a shady guy, he said it was a turbonetics t-72 but I know its not. I know that it was rebuilt by fp and have the papers, and the turbo does have a turbonetics exhuast housing. Well here are some pictures see if you have any ideas
2g with a 6 bolt, shitty electrical job by the last owner:ALright so my car was fine since 6 months ago and recently i was driving it and it just bogged down and would barely turn over. I checked the spark and it was only sparking on 2 cylinders, cylinders 1 and 4 were sparking. So I changed...
Have you checked for any pre-turbo exhuast leaks? or any exhuast leaks, it can cause exaclty what is happinning. Check your bolts from your exhuast manifold to your head, exhuast manifold to your turbo, turbo to o2 housing, and o2 housing to downpipe let us know
Alright well my buddy has an issue with his car and I was just trying to get some input to see if anyone has had this issue before. He was messing around with his rear o2 wires and they sparked (must have shorted) and his car started running like shit. If you look in a diagram two of those wires...
Try to stick to his origional question. I can tell you from all kinds of shit that it sounds like spark plugs or wires to me (more likely plugs). My car did the exact same thing and it ESturned out to be something simple. I would defenetly go get a new set of BRP7ES's if your running enough...
So I take it that my differential is bad? my problem was that the xcase was leaking out of the oil seal flush with the xcase. So if I put a new seal in am I going to be able to drive it or is my center diff bad? Whats the deal?
Ok the input shaft is stuck to the transfer case any suggestions as to how to get it off, but its pulling in and out of the tranny so that makes it that much more difficult.
Alright still cant get this ####er out. its like still 1/2inch out but its like something is stuck? I dont know maybe I'm not pulling hard enough but I'm pulling and wiggling pretty damn hard. Any other suggestions would be helpful
alright I know it shouldnt be this hard to pry it off there has to be something seriously from keeping it from budging. Its like theres still a bolt in somewhere but I got all 5 out, theres a long and a short on the top, then two longer ones near the bottom and a short on on the bottom right so...
Alright I'm ganna try to use some channel locks thanks for the quick replies guys. THe only thing is I dont think I can even get channel locks between that gap its only like a 1/4-1/2" gap?
Ok I took out the 5 main studs...and I can pry the t-case from the tranny about a 1/2 inch but it will not come off something is keeping it from seperating? Any ideas I'm kind of in a hurry
Yeah it had a little bit of shavings, but thats normal I'm pretty sure after 150k miles. Ganna replace that leaking seal and put new fluid in and see if that noise goes away and I will definelty be inspecting the t-case while its out.
I went to drain the fluid from the transfer case and there was nothing inside....so that would probably be my problem. I'm going to replace the output shaft seal with the tranny in.
