Hello guys. First of all im asking this because its the cheapest way for me to get my car running. I have a 99 7bolt i spun a rod bearing and my crank is junk. I found a 7bolt that came out of a 1g. Will this crank fit my block? Thanks in advance.

The ones that were in there before were gaped to .016 My second ring is .013 as well. The pistons are stock i believe. Im using same pistons that came with the engine. Engine was bored .020 by previous owner

Hello guys im building my 7 bolt and have a question about my ring gap. Block is bored .020 over. I measured the gap on my rings and they are .013 Is this ok? I dont want to file the rings if i dont have to. Thanks in advance

save yourself the headache and buy another housing for the fuel pump. either junk yard or Ebay.

Congrats. these models are hard to Find. I had to sell my GST Spyder like 3 years ago that i bougth from Arizona. I found one that came from California one month ago and i had to buy it :thumb: . Here in Wisconsin these are hard to find with little to no Rust.

So i've been having problems with my car bucking when making a sharp turn. I just replaced my LSD rear diff two days ago. Today when I was coming home from work I made a really sharp turn and I heard a loud crack on the front of the car, drove it home slow because it was making a really loud...

Now my rear Diff is whining like crazy. Could this be the problem?? I changed to oil in it to see if it stopped but no luck. :cry:

I jacked one of the rear wheels. Tried rotating it but it will not turn. turns just a bit but wont go anywhere. now what?? :confused:Any Ideas?

So i jacked the front of the car and We were not able to turn both front wheels in the same direction. What now??:confused:

So this would tell me if it's a welded diff or not?? if it they turn the same way is it a welded one or not?? Sorry for all the stupid questions guys. This is the first time I had this issue with a GSX.

thanks guys. Do I have to take the tranny down to see if it has a welded center diff? would i be able to see if i just take the Transfercase off??

I had a JDM ebay on my Spyder and never gave me a problem.

It was a used tubo but the car that had it was not burning oil at all. :confused:

ok guys im going to try to be brief. Today i went to my friend house to check his 1997 gst because he said it wouldnt turn on. HE said that last night he turned it on and he sat on it for a little bit. Then i guess to show off or what not he stepped on the gas making it rev up to high rpms...

try adjusting the clutch. If you do some research on this site you will find the link on how to adjust your clutch pedal. Also check for leaks on your clutch master cylinder and your slave cylinder. the master cylinder usually leaks from the iniside.

stock one should be fine. i use stock ones everytime i change one. just make sure to bleed and adjust your clucth properly, as for your gear popping out i would guess it is the synchros that are bad. you should bring the tranny to a shop for them to look in there and see what's wrong with it.

cool thanks. i had a friend that knows a lil more about dsm's help me find it. we took a screwdriver in there and it seems like the oilpump is off by 180degrees. Will this make a hell of difference in power? Im lacking alot of power and cannot make my car go high rpms. can this be the problem??

There's a pice of plastic between the intercooler and the turbo inlets. can I take it off??:confused:

today I did some more work to it. the timing belt was not off, the blowoff valve was junk and I replaced it with a 1g. Tomorrow I will be doing a boost leak test since I can hear a SHHHHHHHHH sound before my turbo spools up. Hopefully this is the proble to my lack of powre. wish me luck:pray:

how do I know if the crank sensor plate is facing the right way?also how do I know if the timing belt is too tight?:confused:

According to the guy I bought it from it was recently replaced. That's why I took it apart to see if there was something not in place. I will get pictures in a little bit.here are the pics one of the marks seems to be off a little:confused:

it was pouring oil out before i tightened the filter. but the after i tightened the filter it kept leaking but not as bad. where can i buy the oil cooler gasket since I cant find it at my local autoparts??

My car is leaking alot of oil from where the oil filter hooks up. My oil filter was loose but i tightened it and I still have the leak. what can it be??:confused:

I will be going there this weekend and i will do a compression test on it. I will also take the timing belt area apart to see if the timing belt is set properly.

I did not take pics of it. it's a long drive otherwise i would go and take some.

cool thanks. Good thing I found a cheap 14b. This was spooling at around 4500 rpms and smoking like crazy. will the 14b spool quicker??
