Hey guys, I was playing with my boost controller today and I got it up to 17psi when it hit fuel cut. I was wondering if I could just get a stock supra fuel pump to get rid of the problem. Also, what else would I need to run 20psi with my stock turbo? Thanks.
By the way, I own a 1990 GSX.
when building the do it yourself intake there is the dump tube that runs back into the intake piping, but i also found when removing the intake there are two very smalls pipes that go into the back side of the intake piping just past the MAS.. when i read the instructions for building the intake...
hey got a question for anyone who may know, on the home depot 1st gen air intake, would it be possible to use PVC piping for the intake rather then the ABS piping... or will it be to hot i bought PVC cause they told me that they didnt have any of the ABS piping.... and that is what is sapposed...
also i noticed since this has started happening when i downshift it into 4th on the freeway or well i guess anygear and it really gets up there into the rpms i noticed a bit of smoke from the exhaust. I dunno if this helps diagnose the problem thanks guys
Ya, i think i may be able to help you out here. To make your pop-up come up only about half way and just bearly peek out over the lense( lazy eyes). pop your hood, and spin the popup headlight adjuster and look behind the bulb and you will see a bolt that connects the popup motor to the actual...
please help me out! my turbo feels as if its bleeding off boost. During exeleration my boost gauge reads a normal boost level 9-10(stock) with my aftermarket boost gauge. yet my car isnt pulling. it just feels like my car doesnt even have a turbo the way it exelerates. Yet i can hear the wistle...
DSS, is Diamond Star Specialists. there listed on this site under sponsors. Not sure about the center diff though... not something I am replacing, should I be? I am just replacin my tranny.
I ordered Mine from Summit Rides Inc. I wouldnt really recommend them though, they have been a pain in the ass to get my tranny ship to me. But DSS has the tranny for $500ish with a 90 Day warrenty, the only reason i ordered mine from Summit was because they have a 3 year warrenty with there...
Anyone went ahead and swapped there US spec 4G63(turbo) for the JDM spec engine? I am thinking of swapin mine... (113K miles) for a JDM with lower miles, hoping for better compresion and an overall stronger engine. I love my DSM and want to keep it a while, so what do you all think... is the JDM...
I just ordered a JDM tranny for my 90 Eclipse GSX, he told me that its the same one off of the galant VR-4 and Eclipse they share the same trans. But what I was wondering is if anyone knows the Final Drive Ratio for the JDM version of the 1st Gen. Tranny? Thanks
You have to make sure that you get a AWD tranny and it would be best to stick with either a 90 or 91 tranny make sure if you get a 90 tranny you get a 90 transfer case and the same be true with the 91's make sure your tranny and transfercase match up so the spline will match when putting it all...
Uh-NO you dont have to take the exhaust off to get at the clutch. I just did a tranny swap on my 90 GSX and I left my down pipe on and had no problems working around it. Just becareful and slip everthing down. You will have to work your hand up in there to get at some bolts on the transfer case...
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!I am sick of looking at my damn pop-ups sticking up in the air evertime I flick on my headlights. I know there is a way to have them lock down and shine threw the clear lens upfront (btw this is for the 89-91 dsms) I know this may be dangerous as in there being a lack...
I have a 90' GSX and i would deffinitly be intereseted in a wide body kit.. but your gonna have to keep the price resonable.. I'm just a pore college student :( But i wide body kit would deffinitly be nice. If you do it though go CLEAN DSMs are NOT ricers!
any suggestions on new injectors and pump and afc? also is it possible to totally avoid fuel cut besides turning down boost, because we all know as DSMers, BOOST=SPEED
I Havent seen anyone ask this question yet, sorry if someone already has but, I have a 1990 GSX with an ACV Controller removed airbox and exauhst system... I have been hitting 15-16lbs of boost acording to my aftermarket boost gauge. which is all good and dandy but just about the time I hit...
