Give me a couple days, we just finally got a measurable amount of snow here in St. Louis and I'm going to be breaking in my new HD digital camcorder the right way.....Typhoon + Snow + ??? = Profit
Jesus, those two threaded holes are for a wire loom bracket. It's a little metal "strap" like piece that folds over the wire loom to keep it in place, you DON'T need it. However that other single hole is for, as previously mentioned, a rubber "dust cap."
I have less than 9 hours of practice lol....I've got another job tomorrow and I'll post up pictures of that. A little easier this time around, just another exhaust setup, mid-pipe/cat setup.
Nope, solid wire with C-25.....sure it may look like an autistic child did it but this was my first time and the customer just wanted a good penetration without it looking like complete junk. I succeeded and he claimed to be coming back for more custom work. I practice just about every day...
Have you ever put a lot of effort, time, and desire into something just to be shot down? That's how that post made me feel, go screw someone elses thread up please....:notgood:
Figured I might as well make a dedicated thread to all of the jobs I'll be doing now that I have a welder. Was very excited to do this job seeing as it is my first welding task that I've been paid for. Overall I'm impressed at how well everything went and the customer was also very happy...
For some reason, I feel very comfortable pulling, and then pushing the puddle back over the previous weld. I don't know why but I just started doing that because it felt a lot more natural to me than anything I've been reading, or watching on you-tube.
Yeah, I'm on weldingweb.com and have been reading up on my "first helmet." It'll probably be an auto darkening unit, probably the one from HF. I will be using the welder quite often for personal use as well as custom products for close friends and the like so something SUPER cheap is out of...
I've used both the handheld glass that comes with the mig or my dad's fixed glass helm. Both of which work perfectly well for me and I don't mind not being able to see for a quick second before I pull the trigger. I might eventually pick up my own auto dimming helmet but for now these work.I...
I'm standing on all of those welds primarily because my welding station is just a little too tall to sit on anything. I have a really steady hand, even with one hand just like the welds show. None of the scrap had a groove cut into them for guidance, that was just purely freehanded. I'm an...
Finally picked up a welder so I could so some custom welding myself instead of having to tow and rely on other shops to complete some stuff. It's a 220v/110amp Chicago Electric MIG and is currently gasless, just need to pick up a bottle of 75/25 so I can start work.Welds on the right...
All of the above :thumb:GC coilover sleeves on cut AGX shocks + rolled (kind of) fenders, and spacers with extended studs. Still have VERY little room but they are for sale anyway, don't need 'em with the VR4
Kyle, instead of routing it through where the stock intercooler piping (or long route piping) goes take the intake pipe and point it downward and wrap around like the stock side mount piping did off the turbo. Understand what I'm saying?
