yes one tooth does make a diffrence. with two teeth off u can bend ur valves again. use a timming gun to see if the timing is off.

HEy man i have the same problem with my 96 gst. when i stomp on the gas, in the high rpms it bucks at me all nasty and it feels like fuel cutor looses its power. but i cant have that because i dont even have upgraded turbo. Im stuck too. I dont know what to do.
