have you rewired your fuel pump? if not 17 psi is higher than a safe level :dsm: :talon: :laser:

the sputtering he desribed sounds to me like fuel cut from it boosting above what the stock fuel pump can flow. or if it sputtered at idle it'd be a boost leak, either way, more testing needs to be done :dsm: :talon: :laser:

the turbo spools about 3000 rpm if you're on the stock 14b :dsm: :talon: :laser:

did you try a wet compression test? that'll at least narrow it down a bit. if it still has no compression on the wet test its either valves or head gasket. do a cylinder leakdown test, listen to find out if its leaking through exhaust valves, intake valves, head gasket to coolant, or head gasket...

to prime it just disable the fuel and ignition systems, crank the motor 5 times for about 10-15 seconds. also, there is a vfaq on it i think. :dsm: :talon: :laser: Edit: oh yea, make sure you have enough oil in it.
