Just seems odd you can drop tons of money on a turbo but not the supporting mods. I'd be afraid to calapse a stock intake on a turbo that size. Also you don't always need a catch can for a non stock intake.
Being that you are a "wiseman" you would think you would know how the rings are seated on a motor. The combustion gases will force the rings against the cylinder wall enough without boost. We can argue the break it in hard, break it in soft all we want, we both have done it different ways and...
NO you don't. I have broken in many motors on low to no boost, not to mention cars that don't have a turbo at all break in just fine. Vary the rpm's and use a non detergent oil for break in and the motor will be fine.
The auto will take the power easily as stated.. I myself and switching my 500hp car to an auto as we speak because they take the power better than manuals, even built manuals.
I was stuck between mahle and wiseco hd.. I think the choice is easier now, wiseco hd for me with scat rods. It's weird that the ring was stuck like that and didn't break or snap.. Is it possible it was assembled wrong from the get go?
An alternator charges non stop as long as the car is running. 14.4 volts is where it should be but most dsm alternators suck and don't charge that well.
If these are 1g rods which are pressed on i wouldn't worry about it. if they are aftermarket rods that have a free floating wrist pin I wouldn't use them, or i'd have them line honed.

Again, false, misinformed info.. A bunch of us have made over 500hp on the vrsf kit (or ssac kit) I myself have installed one for my 600+hp build. The vrsf/ssac core is no joke. Just because it is cheap doesn't mean it's junk. Everything in the ssac line is crap, except the 2g intercooler.
