Just a couple weeks ago I reached an agreement with a guy and I thought the car was going away.I got into the cars initially because it was fun to outrun the v8 guys with a 4 banger. The platform really grew on me and it just snowballed from there. Built several cars over the years and moved...
As DSMers there sometimes comes a day in which we have to choose to do the unthinkable. For me, that day was Sunday.
I had to take her to someone else to be worked on. Luckily for me it's in the hands of a friend and a DSM badass. DTR is going to install the AEM, finish up the wiring from the...
Who's using one? I have gone with the Elite 1500 and the premium haltech terminated harness.I've always done DSMLink or V1 AEM till now so I'm a little out of my element. Trying to decided on what sensors I want to run and I'm leaning towards replacing all with the Haltech equivalent.Knock...
Even though my race car is a 2G, I have always had a special place for 1Gs.
The 96GST that I picked up a few months ago was traded for a 93 awd Talon last night. I go pick it up tomorrow. What's your preference and why?
Finally got the last few big things ordered. Haltech Elite will be used to tune the car instead of the V1 AEM I had for it. Also have a magnus mechanical pump setup and All of the VOLK LCAs, trailing arms and toe arms. I already have aluminum bushings so the suspension should be like it's on a...
Anyone on here done this care to offer up some guidance. I already have the complete doors with good glass and functional mechanisms. Any surprises I need to be aware of before I undertake this project?
I really think I'm going to pony up the dough and put 4 wiggins clamps on my IC piping. I will have to do a 3" to 3.5" reducer on the throttle body and a 2.5" to 3" reducer at the turbo that way all 4 clamps are 3".
The trick to getting this thing in fully seated without using a BFH.
If the motor is already assembled pressing it in is not really viable.
So freeze the bushing for a night, heat the end of the crank and pop it in. Move quickly cause the heat causes the busing to seat very fast.
1995 GsT.. No motor, has Megan coilovers and is otherwise complete.$300! Score!Pulling the coilvers for my Spyder, then going to rebuild the car to stock and give it to my daughter.
I never seem to have time to finish it and it's been 90% for almost 2 years. It sucks to have all that money invested and not get to enjoy the car... An Evo would suit me much better than a race car anyway.
2.3L will be revving to 9K, 45+ psiI had a pair of 292s basically fall in my lap, How will these pair with the stroker or should I just stay with the BC280s already in the head?
The talon is making way for this new daily driver. I found this car by accident while trying to give away my parts car.It was found as a shell in east Texas.
The previous owner bought it already awd swapped 4-5 years ago. It blew a trans 3 years into his ownership. He bight a replacement...
Not keeping the 95 auto Talon awd I got back about 9 months ago. I will be using the drivetrain though.I may or may not have aquired an awd swapped Spyder. Pictures and details to follow soon.
b00st3d submitted a new DSM Profile :This is the rebirth of the chassis originally built by DSMBOY here on Tuners. This was a pretty popular build that was followed by many people that unfortunately never made it to the track. He finished the car then blew up the transmission and subsequently...
With all the different things we do to our cars, when do you no longer consider it a street car?My personal car still has power windows, locks and driver seat. Full interior including plastics. Stereo and working heat. A/C and anti-lock breaks removed. It's about to get the core support and...
So while cruising craigslist looking at dsms in my area I found this little gem listed for $950, saying that it was in need of a tune-up and possibly a new transmission.I didn't give it much thought but I did send it to myself to look at again later. I came back and checked it a few days later...
I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag.Chassis:

-Full interior, plastics, headliner, dash, carpeting
-POWER EVERYTHING WORKS, door locks, windows, drivers seat, heat & A/C, wipers, headlights, etc.Suspension & Brakes & Wheels:

I have fought with DSM alternators for years and I'm sick of the $120+ cost of replacing a weak 65amp stock unit. There are rewound units that put out 105 and 135amps but at a cost of $175-$250 I say no thank you. If you have a few basic tools a a little bit of time here is your answer.Tools...
Ksport Coilover InstallationOverviewThis Tech Article covers the installation of the ksport coilover struts in my 1G. This covers the basic process from start to finish(except the alignment). Ksport coilovers are available for 1G fwd/awd, 2G fwd/awd as well as Galants. I'm sure there is...
