He took me for a ride when I picked up the trans...it's a very cool car for sure!My Porsches aren't a pain to work on, but there is definitely a tax on the parts cost.
Porsche or BMW definitely get my vote for the daily driver! I absolutely love my Turbo Cayennes but the gas mileage is rated in SPG, not MPG! (smiles per gallon vs miles). You simply can't beat the driving experience and comfort of a German engineered car.
Just a couple weeks ago I reached an agreement with a guy and I thought the car was going away.I got into the cars initially because it was fun to outrun the v8 guys with a 4 banger. The platform really grew on me and it just snowballed from there. Built several cars over the years and moved...
The Red one was supposed to be a parts car for the silver one but it's just too nice for me to part out even with the minor body damage. LOL
I have a problem.
I have to disagree at this point, Marty. With Volk making the AWD swap bushing kit now it saves a lot of the pain in the ass work. If the chassis you're starting with is clean or something you have an attachment to, it's a viable option. it's getting harder to find a good car for a good price.
Paul @ Volk Metal Craft is the only vendor that picked up handles to have on the shelf!
I do not keep handles in stock because of the cost! The only time to get in on a set is when I do a group buy. The next one won't be till the end of the year to ship in the spring.
I'm going to tinker with doing some caps with my printer. It'll be a good way to offer a cheaper than billet alternative. I've tried with the handles but haven't been to happy with the results.
It is does not meet the rules but it passed tech. In the blue car where the cell is actually located the plan is still to build a firewall for the increased safety and to actually comply with the rules.
That is one of Hal's caps. I based mine off of his and they are pretty much the same thing. I did recess the bolt and change the outlets to opposing on the dual port.
As stated above, you can bend the arms up slightly to cause it to clamp harder or add a second gasket to achieve the same basic...
Maybe it's just me but a start up video usually is a car cranking and then actually starting... This sounds more like an air compressor already running than a start up vid.
I just saw this.
The Yellow wire from the harness goes to the F connector (black wire if you're using a saturn harness) connector on the alternator.
The black wire from the harness goes to the black/white on the alt conector.
The last line says "Wiring is pretty straight forward, the large yellow wire goes to the F(black) wire on the saturn connector and the small black wire goes to the L(black w/ white stripe) on the saturn connector."
