So how much of an effect does a larger turbine wheel make on backpressure within the same a/r turbine? Say going from a stage 5 wheel to a p-trim a .63 a/r t3 turbine, would that make as big of difference in backpressure as going to a bigger a/r?
well my dsmchip is also setup for my injectors so tuning isn't that hard. the airflow is 1100-1300hz depending on what gear I'm in the higher the gear the more airflow I see

well the machine shop put the short block together. I will run a compression test and see if the # are good. to add the smoke isn't there if I shift low. (where I see no boost at all) Hopefully it's the turbo seals I'll check compression and shaft play.

I wouldn't say that the housings are all to small. I mean a holset hx35/40 hybrid spools 20psi by 4500 and a HX40 spools 21psi by 4800-4900 with these housings. Now these turbo's won't be able to make there max power but enough of it for most people. With that said I would think the a/r on the...

Just to take some info from this thread a 2.0L spools 20 psi from a HX-35 around 3900 and a 2.3L spools hx-35/40 hybrid 23 psi at 3900, a 2.4L spools a hx-40 at 4000. It looks like that there is hardly any difference in spool time of the hx-35/40 hybrid and a full 40 on a 2.3l/2.4L.
