You might want to ask the machinist to measure the flywheel while you watch him. Make sure he seems familiar with the device and how to use it on your flywheel.
Congratulations Sean and Neil!!! more details here :http://www.californiarallyseries.com/results.htmKeep an eye out for us at the Treeline Rally!:thumb:
For those of you who checked us out at the last Extreme Autofest, we will be there again at the Infineon Raceway, this time as a contingency sponsor!!Don't miss this Autofest, as we team up with Extreme Autofest, and the NHRA at the TUNED BY MATRIX NHRA SPORT COMPACT NATIONALS! Here you'll...
We are proud to announce that our rally 1g, driven by Sean McKenna placed 1st in Production GT class this weekend at Gorman! Look for this car at 4 more rallies this year, and the rally Evo next year!! Congratulations Sean!Rally 1g
ROFL!! hes talking about using race gas and how unconvential it is, but hes going to run methanol on his Supra!! ROFL.. go away son, you bother me. Far from a ricer? please.. you are the epitome of a ricer you asshat.
ON PUMP? haha okay.. what kind of pump? 104? I never said anything about running race gas 365 a year.. idiot.. And no, you referenced E.T. Streets and the discussion somehow turned into street tires.. moron.. hahah crying? take a good look in the mirror before you start claiming things.. You...
hahah puhleeze, you arent talking to some ricer with a fartcan and an intake here.. make sense if you must speak. Street tires. not this dot legal bullshit. E.T. Streets are slicks. period. By Street tires that means you drive off the street, and go run at the track. Dont bring up the race gas...
This thread is out of hand, ive only a few points to mention :1. The Supra is an awesome car, but made for the quarter mile its not.. 13.9 @ 130 anyone? Im sure quite a few Supra owners have seen that timeslip.2. The Evo is a remarkable car. for what it is and mere bolt ons its already...
Crankwalk is a symptom of 7bolt motors found in 95-99 Eclipses. No the new Evo wont have it, The EVO has a much stronger tranny, I think that in itself is worth the money. People have found the new EVO for under 30 at online brokerages. Prices are going to inflate? hrm.. wonder how you know...
Uh... I own a DSM, not only do I own a very rare one, I've also owned 4 others. How many 10-11 second DSMs have you tuned? been around? worked on? Unless you work at a performance shop like the one I happen to own, Id think you know a lot less than I do. I love DSM's they are my favorite sport...
When you vent your BOV to atmosphere, you are breaking a cycle of recirculated air. The air thats already been metered by your MAS is being released, as opposed to dumped back in the intake system, where it would keep your turbo spooled. Hope that helps. :thumb:
The answer to that would be a big fat no. Cams in a DSM, especially something like the 272 will cause you to fail smog tests miserably without the intervention of something like a standalone.
Sorry, but the new Evo is not "just hype" What are the differences? Its a lighter, chassis is better, suspension layout is much improved, way stronger tranny, engine upgrades stock ( bigger turbo, hollow cams ) along with a front mount stock, the car is not only much more refined than any...
We prefer the metal application over the cometic. the spray you are asking about is a copper gasket spray. Make sure to ask for a high temp application, its mostly for reusing your old headgasket and helping to seal things up ;) Hope that helps.
Last I heard he had sold the car.. ( for really really really cheap ) but hes no longer into the DSM scene, sad to lose such a DSM'er. Jason is a throwback to the days when the DSM crowd wasnt quite as idiotic as some of todays enthusiasts are. He knew what it took to go fast and to go...
Ive put down 421 on a rewired Denso 190, yes I was running out of fuel. If you are looking to put down that much power, invest in a bigger pump.. More fuel capability never hurts ;)
Congratulations man.. Hope it turns out well.. Look into chassis reinforcement, you'll need it if you are putting down any power.P.S. Tell Steve to give me a call, we've left him over 5 messages.
I dont know if you guys go back that far in the DSM world, but Jason Lu back in 1997 had a 10 second GST that was almost full weight, full DVD player, stereo system, body kit and rims. Even without the aid of the more advanced tuning tools and nicer turbos available for DSMs now, he ran that...
Sean and Stuart from McKenna Racing will be racing at the upcoming rally at Gorman Rally, their last stop for this year will be at the Rim of the World shortly after. Check them out next year when they will be debuting a brand new Pro Street powered Evo VIII. :thumb:
We always recommend getting hood pins, as previously stated, the 30 dollars isnt going to waste. A customer of ours was traveling to the east coast with no hood pins when the hood flew up, smashed his a pillar and windshield, and the hood ripped off the mounting points, struck a SUV behind him...
We saw this mod in a 1g awd a couple of months back.. Cool idea, but the novelty wears off quick once you realize you still have to use the clutch. Not true sequential, but cool nonetheless.
A 2100 with a 6 puck would be a super bad idea. Driving unsprung puck discs is all bad on the street. Id go with a 2600 / street disc. If you are worried about crankwalk, well I dont know what to tell you other than people with both stock, 2100 and 2600 clutches have gotten crankwalk. Highly...
Nah not secretive at all, we just werent as prepared with that board thats all ;) And Matt, no that isnt your ic on the table, yours is in a box :)Who here is going to the west coast meet??
We installed a AFC2 quite some time ago, heres the writeup :http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/pages/howto/2gnewafc.aspThe knock feature will not work because OBDII cars do not give a raw knock value like the OBDI cars do. Hope this helps.
I dont know what Pro Street has to do with Accel, or even with Accel product support for that matter. Some people have to work, not troll on dsm boards all day. The answer is no, universal injectors wont work on your DSM.
Sure we can take pictures of it, its not much different than the DSM coils, we'd recommend going the GM 2 tower coil pack route if you interested in coil performance.
