I know I am still a newbie but I had same problems and finally got it through my head to make a boost leak tester and found all kinds of boost leaks. Just a thought but give it a try.
Well the wire harness was supposed to be for a 95 TSI AWD but wire colors are not matching up like they should. But thanks anyway for the info. I should be able to get sensors wired right now.

I had the same thing happen to me last year and my flywheel exploded. Luckily I was not hurt but the accident took out my engine and transmission both. I have only had my car on the road for one weak now and still working out a few little bugs.
Well mine has been down since December cause of a flywheel explosion(I miss shifted) :notgood: . Flywheel took out almost everything under the hood and put bad dents in hood too. Head should be back from machine shop this weak. That is the last thing I'm waiting on to get my car up and running...
Pretty much everything has already been brought up. I own a 2g Talon TSI and my wife owns a 92 Stealth RT. I love driving either car. I think my dsm is quicker but her 3s hugs the road like its glued to it. If for some reason I had to sell one I honestly don't know which one I would get rid of.
I'm still a newbie but what I have read your supposed to use a 6 bolt timming kit on a 6 bolt block. I am not sure if that would cause a problem or not?
My local mechanic is doing a 6 bolt swap for me, just waiting for head to get back from machine shop. I'm using back my 2g head also but am curious about what your problem is. From what I have read the cas should fit the 2g head fine. Are you using a 1g timming belt kit.

OK both my 6 bolt and my old 7 bolt engines are stripped down. I'm doing a 6 bolt swap in my 95 tsi. Can I swap the plates where the oil filter housing and balance shaft belts are? Just pull pull the one off my 7 bolt block and put it on my 6 bolt block?

Well I think I am going to put it in and hope for the best. It is the same green engine you are talking about. Even if I tried to sell it I don't think I could get my money back. I have a big 16g ported and clipped that I'm going to hook up to it. I'll just run low boost. Hopefully it will work out.

Just completely blew my engine and tranny. I am now looking for a new enginge and tranny but I am a little straped for $. Any sugestions on where to get a good built engine and tranny for a good price? Oh yeah, should I get 1g or go back with a 2g? Not sure what I can salvage under my hood.
