I have a 16g ported, about same set up as yours but i upgraded my injectors to 550s. I boost 18 with no problem what so ever. But i also have an apexi safc so that would probabely make a difference.
i agree. i changed my trans fluid and used Lucas synthetic and now it grinds gears. i ordered BG Syncroshift from MachV which you can also use in your transfer case. they give you 3 quarts which is enough to do trans and transfer case. i thnk it was around $49.00 not including shipping.
Does it grind or whine? Mine was making a whining noise. i changed my transfer case (i see you're an awd like me) fluid to BG Syncroshift and it cleared up the sound. hope this helps.

i have a 91 gsx with a greddy rs bov and she is loud as hell. sounds so sweet between shifts and revving. its recirculated so it doesnt have the idle/stall problems regularly experienced with atmospheric venting.
Ive been everywhere including Mach V (none till mid-august) and cant get them. After doing boost leak test found out they where leaking HUGE. Any ideas where else to get them?
a 16g turbo is a direct bolt on replacement for a 14b. to get the most out of the larger turbo i would suggest purchasing a 190 lph fuel pump and 550cc injectors.an safc would help also. i got the same set up on my 1 g.
i found how to do it. disconnect turbo from licp and pressurize system TOWARDS intercooler. i hope i get a chance to do it this week. ill post results asap and thanks for the help.
sorry it took so long to get back. no smoke at all, maybe a little black(carbon) when i get happy with the go peddle at first. pcv valve is brand new and functional(i checked). didnt check the turbo seal. i bought turbo brand new (16g) and it only has about 3000 miles on it now. still a little...
its definately the rings. you should have anywhere from 175 to 215psi per cylinder. your numbers are low. 120psi is the service limit. cylinder # 2 sounds bad.
i have a set of 450cc stock injectors that ill part ways with for 40 bucks if you want them. i upgraded my turbo and fuel system so i dont need them. they worked perfectly when i took them off. you would need new o rings for them.
you need to buy an amp to power the rear 6X9 speakers. use the wires for your rear and front speaker outputs on your stereo to power the dash and door speakers. then you use the rca jack outputs on the back of the stereo to attach your amp and wire your rear 6X9 to that. or you can try just...

i had same problem with apexi safc. the wiring harness had 2 grounds, one for the buttons and one for display. id recheck your ground connections. hope i helped :dsm:
do i need to buy a high flow fuel pump to feed the 550 injectors or can i just do the rewire of stock fuel pump? also should i aquire an adjustable fuel regulator too? thanks for any suggestions.
