Hey changing the timing belt, and was wondering if you could just take off the balance shaft belt? Just leave the shaft in. Would it have the same effect ? Any comments greatly appreciated.

Hey just recieved my JDM 4g63t engine today, and was looking at the thermostat housings and noticed some differences. WOndering if i should switch the JDM Housing for the USDM one? Or just leave it the way it is. THanks

About 30 mintues, 90xxx miles on the engine. Sensor went out, than bearing. Replacing the Engine Right now !

Hey i am about to instal a jdm 4g63t engine into my 91 talon. Was wondering while the engine is out should i think about replacing anything ? Anything on the tranny, like seals ect ?Any help would be great thanks.

He said it was a 2000 something year. engine. But its ok because i got a 6 bolt engine. Tuesday i will be putting it in !

Hey going to go to a place tomorrow that sells engines, and called the guy to see if it a 6 bolt , 7. Well the guy couldnt tell but he did say the engine was like year 2000 or newer. Anyone know what the engine comes from????? Any help would be great

Hey just got done pulling the engine and tranny out, and noticed that the engine bay is mighty dirty. Wondering the best way to clean the engine bay then work on cleaning up the engine. What are your guys preferences on this ?Steam ? or Degreaser?

my car had a funny idle. removed the lines to the TB and i got idle surge. opened it up and blocked off the FIAV and now my car idles so good it's unbelievable ....that a dsm can idle like this:D cleans up the engine bay too:thumb:

I hope you have a built tranny that can handle stronger axles and 500hp because 4 axles are alot cheaper than a 1 good tranny....just something to think about.

I am running an Evo III manifold, turbo and O2 housing and i know the O2 housig sits a little different than other O2 housings. I dont want to have to use a 2.5" to 3" right from the O2 housing. want a true 3" all the way back. the O2 outlet is 2.5 but if i order the Evo III downpipe flange...

dunno aobut DSM. but i had metal masters pads on my 91 jetta Gli 16v with other upgraded stopping stuff and it was worse than stock bescause of the pads. Hawk is awesome. Porterfield RS-4's or EBC greenstuff are awesome choices though. I will NEVER buy metalmasters pads for anything i own...

if it's a 02+ 1.8T gti they can go 14.6 without any mods. all on driver. if the VR is the odler 12v VR6 it can hit 14.8 bone stock, the new 24v VR w/6spd can go 14.4's stock...these times are few and far between but i've seen it done.

that one is RHD. they have been out in japan for a year or two now. I bet the price tag will be close to 30-35k, so wait about 10-15 years to buy one then it iwil be the cheap old turbo performance car of 2020 :D

do a very very very light tint if any. IMO i would suggest not throwing tint on your car because it is SOOOOOOOO clean and i dont think you can have a clean car with dark tint, takes away from the cleanliness, but thats just me. exactly how i would want my 2g to look if i had one :thumb:

well it's just not hooked up all the way. where the line goes from the MBC to the BOV, there is supposed to be a T fitting in the middle so you can connect a line to the intake manifold too. you need the line going to the wastegate actuater going to the side of the boost controller. so switch...
