I drilled and tapped my nipple on my compressor cover. I always believe that was the best option to get a boost source. But yes you can get it from the j pipe, compressor cover, or intake manifold. I wouldn't recommend the BOV line. I had that original on my old turbo not my favorite option...
+1.... I felt the same way. You have to be crazy to think a vendor will refund you the labor of installing the parts. Thats ludacris!!!! But i def feel like he was def trying to use his title elite moderator :rocks: :tease:I felt it was dealt correctly. I used forced performance three...
Well the biggest reason isn't that people think its ancient. People think its highly overpriced. They are priced the same prices as turbos that are bigger and more efficient. Which obvious wouldn't be a smart way to spend your money. But if your going 20g go FP. Great customer services and...
Didn't know the FP were regrinds. But I've heard nothin but great things about their cams. And speaking of FP about their customer service, I can say they are one of the best or the best when it comes to customer service. Their products are also amazing and they proudly stand by their products.
Well this weekend I stopped by my friend's house to work on his car and my car. He had the same problem with the idle rising. So I told him I'm finally trying to figure out the problem he let me know he had fixed his already. He told me he changed the throttle body cable and the problem was...
Yeah the FP2's don't need dual valve springs its the X series that need to upgrade their springs.I'm debating between getting the FP2's or the FP2X. But right now if I were you get the cams.
Just do a quick compression test should tell you immediately whether or not you have a HG problem. If the compression test comes back with postivie results then you know its the oil cooler.
Since you have the head I would say cams. Altough some cams like the FP 2x series ones required new dual valve springs and retainers. And also APR studs should be used too so one less thing to change later. It also depends on your budget. I would hold on getting the FP mani unless you are...
I can snap a photo later to explain better. It's Tial 44 WG. If I rotate it forward the nipple hits the exhaust manifold. Sorry I really can't explain it I'll snap a picture later.
So when installing my FP3150 I couldn't get the side nipple of the WG pointing forward towards the front of the car because the nipple kept hitting the exhaust manifold. So to get the install done I installed the wg on the turbo with the side nipple under the exhaust mani and towards the engine...
I got a pocketlogger but I gotta download the software again my batteries died adn I got to load it back on. :notgood:But the when it does go up sometimes I do "blip" it a bit, and sometimes it does go down. And yes when the idle rises out of nowhere I get out and push on the throttle body...
I think these two turbo are two very different turbos. At least in size. One is rated at 52 lbs and the other 65 lbs thats ver diffrent. The 3052 will spool faster but the 65 will way more. How much hp or what time are you planning to hit??But I heard nothing but great things of both of...
Can't you take the bolt out and bring it with you to the hardware store. Most stores should have the measurement tool to get the right thread size. Hope that helps.
Its is one of the best front mounts but DV/DT is kind of on the expensive side. I was going to go that route but ETS is more than enough at a better price.
I dont think it can be the biss screw, because MOST of the time it idles perfectly at 750. It doesn't surge or anything just feels like the thorttle body cable gets stuck. If the lube doesn't work I will look at TPS and ISC sensor. Will report back later on today.
Okay this has been an ongoing problem for my car since I purchased back in 05. Well at times alot in the summer my idle will be normal at 750-800 RPMs then all of a sudden my car idle will spike anywhere from 1500 to 2000 RPMs. It doesn't go back and forth it just raises to a set number and stay...
I was typing and thinking to fast.:coy:What I was trying to say is they do make some great products so they aren't dumb. But if JMFAB made those out of aluminium that was a dumb move on their part.:nono:Hope thats a clearer.;)
The wideband basically gives the exact air fuel ratio. With DSMLink and a wideband you can make sure your not running to lean or too rich as the wideband will tell you your air fuel ratio.:thumb:
You can weld a flange on the stock manifold, but why would you. The T25 can't even blow that much air to blow your internal WG open. Money can't be spent other ways.:thumb:But hey if you WANT to weld a flange on the stock manifold or get an O2 housing with a flange for a WG.
So I'm installing my FP 3150 this weekend, and I'm at the point where I'm mounting my Tial 44 WG onto the turbo but the oil dipstick is in the way.I've read you can bend the line do you bend it forward toward the radiator or towards the engine?? Is the line flexible enough to bend but not...
Thats what I hear about ACT too. I hear from everyone that they support everyday mild range power. I have a ACT 2600, so far it has held up 20,000 miles for me. But again I am not at 400 whp.I will probably go else when its time for another clutch job.
Well you can blow your motor with the 16g if you're not careful. The spool up will be noticeable but the power potential is there. You can push that 16g to its limit and get 12's but the pte one will be easier. It all depends on how many you care about lag if this is your dd. If it's your...
Bought a new turbo a month ago. I don't have all the parts to install yet. I still need a few gaskets and lines. I won't be able to pruchase them for another two three weeks though. :cry:So is there anything I should do with the turbo to store it. It has never been used its BRAND NEW. Or...
If it is indeed that your starter is new, then I would say check your fuses first. The starter could have also went out too if it isn't that new. Can't you bring your starter too an autoshop like autozone or like advance auto to test your alternator, starter, and battery.I'm going to say...
The Stupid PCV Valve Thread is too long for me to read I read like 3 pages and stopped. And maybe I missed it here, so whats the answer, which is better a homemade or a professional one like from RRE??
I still have to go with the capping of the vaccum lines or the fuel pump install as the culprit. I would give it a couple of days for the smell to go away. Clean the car so the smell goes away. Just to see if it came from the lines being capped. If it comes back I don't think its from them being...
I thought this was a joke when I read it but you were serious. I was thinking of the beer commericial with Bill Parcells and he goes, "But it's a good thing not a bad thing":DBut yeah it sounds like you had a boost leak that was causing you not to spool properly you finally made enough boost...
I can snap a big of mine when I get home tonight. I have mine I believe next to my brake reservior is where I have mine mounted. Ill get back to you tonight.I got mine from import evolution and it came with instructions and a bracket to mount to my firewall.and it just attached with a screw...
Yeah your pedal pressure should have definitely gotten stiffer. But usually when you put a new clutch the clutch usually takes out your master and/or slave cylinder. Then you feel no or very little pedal pressure.Being that the 2600 should be stiffer the stock. I would say your master or...
Why are you getting a rebuild if the motor is still up and running?? I have a 135K on mine and luckily no problems has occurred. Unless you are doing it for a performance upgrade I don't see the need to do a rebuild. What mods do you have?? Because unless like your engine no need to do a...
My car doesn't sound like a dump truck. And at idle the car sounds fairly quite. The only time it sounds super loud is at WOT.I order my exhaust from Extreme Motor Sports. Its a down pipe that just slides into the cat back. No cat no test pipe. Love the sound:thumb:
Oh wait you want to do a FWD to AWD conversion. You better have money or know how to do the conversion by yourself. That is a true project. The average joe can't do it.If you just want to engine swap your car to another dsm. Make sure its FWD as it would be easier. But if you want AWD, you...
