yeah man, I already read that thread, took me like 3hrs lol but he didn't swap to an evo head and he didn't use forged pistons, i pretty much and following his thread however He blew his motor and I'm trying to make mine bulletproof before I throw boost at it, I'm trying to identify his mistakes.

studs are normally a pain as the endless heat and exhaust gasses fuses them to the head.
best way to do it is to use wd-40 and soak them for a few hours if your planning on replacing them all. here is one place for the studs:

so when you start in and keep it in neutral it runs fine but when you engage a gear it dies? if so then your clutch is most likely locked up and the black fluid coming out of the exaust is most likely oil, probably a seperate issue. your throw out bearing could also be bad, try starting the car...
I agree with the above and to add something, when you pull off the manifold I would check that oil feed line for leaks, if that is leaking your turbo will not have enough oil to stay lubricated, your turbo will slowly start whining and will eventually sieze up. the best way I found to fix this...
