I believe that the Magnus cranks are made by Australian manufacture called PAR engineering makers of PAR gearsets..very high end stuff.Par-Engineering - Crankshafts
While we're on the subject of cranks, Darren or Jackson auto do either of you have experience working with the Magnus motorsports billet units?Magnus Billet Crankshaft | Magnus Motorsports
Like the title says, I'm looking for either a shell or complete 2GB Eclipse GSX must be manual. I'm looking for something with NO rust on. PM me if you have something.
You will have a better turn out by posting this on the local forum too. www.nyccdsm.com we also have a Facebook Welcome to Facebook - Log In, Sign Up or Learn More
I should be there, unless something breaks. Last years turnout wasn't so good because there was very little info/advertisement about it, the year before was awesome alot of big name shops came out I.e AMS, Magnus,English,Kiggly ect.. Spread the word on the local/other DSM forums and there will...
All passes were done in 4th gear, except for the pass I got on video. The twin disc wasnt to happy in 4th gear on the final pulls with load so he had to use 3rd gear it actually makes more power in 4th.
Dodge Ram 2500/3500..I own a 06 it has been great the Cummins motors are much easier to work on then there counterparts... And are actually considered heavy duty not light duty trucks like other diesels.
I took my car back to the dyno on the 6262, I had some boost control issues but we made 671 awhp this time around on E85 with peak timing only being 14* with another 2-3psi and a little more aggressive tune it should be over 700hp. The 62mm is working great so far.:hellyeah:
If you're going to get the block powder coated make sure you use a competent powder coater that has done engine blocks before and know not to not to get any blast media in the block.
Great work STM the car looks great so far:thumb:. One suggestion, I would have used -16 on the radiator lines and fittings, -16 male fittings matches perfect with the water neck and water pipe.
I'm running a PTE T3 6262BB so far we've made 537hp at 25PSI on E85. I'm going to turn up the boost to around 30 PSI and see what it does on the Dyno soon. I'm very happy with the turbo so far.:thumb:YouTube - ‪IMAG0029.AVI‬‏
Hey guys does anybody know what size the bigger fitting (closest to the fire wall) is on the steering rack? This is for a 2G gsx, I'm just trying to reloop the power steering lines.
The one with out the barb fitting.
I run the PTE 6262 so far it's been good. We made 537awhp on it @ 23psi so far. I'm getting used to the car now then were going to turn up the boost and see what it can really do.
Thanks Eric. I'm probably just going to take out my power steering all together. Run it like this: There should be some sort of disclaimer on this alternator relocation kit. :notgood:
Any of you guys with the JayRacing alternator relocation kits having problems throwing off your power steering belt? I've gone through about 3 belts already and I'm at the point to where I'm just going to remove the power steering. the belt is tensioned good and is aligned, it only comes off...
You can use a couple of diffrent standalones...Autronic SM4 Motec Pro EFI can make your dsm into a flex fuel car..You need to buy the proper 02 sensor to run with these standalones in order for it to work.YouTube - ‪ProEFI FLex Fuel Video.wmv‬‏
Did you try emailing Enzo of Enzo-racing, He is finishing up setting up my 500R/cbr setup as we speak. I'll see if I can get him to chime in when I stop by the shop Monday or Tuesday.
Nice manifold. From the looks of it you are in Australia stick with the Garrett there are plenty of places in Australia you can get a GT turbo from and not have to wait so long for it.
Looks good but IMHO I would have done the angle facing towerds the back of the car. Here is how I had mine setup on my old 2G to give you an idea. Great job overall.
Great info guys, I'm working on the same thing with my 2g using the series 1 AEM plug and play box 30-1310 and AEM gauge type wideband. My question is do I have to run on (P4) postion 4 on the back of the wideband to simulate the front 02 or can I just leave it like like it came from the aem...
I have yet to drive mine since it's been snowing and cold here in NY, but I have a feeling it's not going to be very friendly on the street the twin disc big cams drag radials welded ceter diff stiff mounts solid rear end mounts no a.c no balance shafts. It still has power steering though...
Evolution 3 motors ARE NOT 6bolts, they came out in 95' everything from 92.5' had a 7bolt in it.Straight from RoadRace engineering siteUsed Japanese 4G63 Motor and Trans Searching
That is the correct restrictor, the orfice is smaller on the side that bolted into the turbo. To the OP, you will need the following-Fitting for the oil return- EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Billet Aluminum Oil Drain Fitting : -10 AN Male your turbo...
I used self taping aluminum screws which you can get at ACE or Homedepot, ran it right next to the oem lines both feed and return.
I'll get some pics up for you tommorrow.
Very nice build, Not a big fan of those DNP manifolds though..but it looks like you can weld from the pics :thumb: A friend of mine as a very similler s372/auto trans build out here in Long island..you should come to the meets when the car is ready to roll.Good luck.
