Thanks man. Appreciated.
Lot of work went into that spyder. Complete motor swap. Forged 7 bolts motor. Transmission upgrade. Full coil over from Quebec that nobody knows but are awesome Big brake kit. Etc etc.
My mechanic is the best in DSM that is known here s2000. It is my favorite...
I'm bringing this back up, very interested in seeing a 2G gutted as I want to do this this year. Search a bit and couldn't find a clean 2G with the interior completely removed. Without spending on CF doors or CF driveshaft what kind of weight are we looking for?
I didn't say the car wasn't any good, I know it if I wanted it. I offered my 2006 Civic LX, a "lot more daily driver" for a guy that wanted a daily more confortable and all.
After discussion and road test He wanted too much money OVER the trade. I need a good daily for my work and travel LOTS...
I swear by Carbotech pads now. The best pads I've found, I did tried:Hawk
Porterfield
Pagid
PFIt is the best brand for the least abrasive dust even when more of 1200F.Ive literally wasted some nice new wheels with Porterfield R4-E and a good rain. The dust welded on the wheels with the...
It was a true type-r, carfax it and badge and everything.Yes a good track car but I'm not willing to daily drive it and the deal was not that good after talking.Better yet I'm gonna continue with my talon that I like 10 times more after that road test and yes having maybe more issues put...
I could care less about drag racing, i'm looking for a daily/track warrior without the major expense of heavier, more powerful vehicule.
It's quoted as the best FWD car off all time, it must be quite a bit good.
106hp/liter, N/A, not to shabby, 8500rpm screamer. It's all about balance and...
It's almost stock, konis at 4 corners, filter, not much. Very clean.I'm going to see on sunday if the deal can work, it's in fact a trade for my civic+ cash...Like I see not much owners of the car here.... it's okay, I'm anxious to try it.
Any of you tried it on the track. My friend got one and a few others and they are quite fast on track and very reliable. Also there pushing good times, gotta love seat time without any issues.I have an indoor garage so it'S a bit more theive proof. I think the whole type-r thing passs a bit...
I can have a good deal on one and would like some input from DSM guy's.Before you say, just another Honda, I would like solid details from people than actually track the car. (Why in the road and autocross section)I'm not saying that I will not race the talon but I think it would be ALSO a...
I think it's a good choice also. I find that with 600 or more spring the stock (as not revalved) konis are at there limit.
I'm using 450/250 right now because of more street use this year and with more than 10 track days it wasn't bad.
For the best "confort" on the street as not that harsh and quite a bit more handling for road course I've got 450 front, 350 rear. If you can use Hypercoils springs.
It is in fact A LOT more stiff than stock but the better for track use.Search on the subject a bit it'S been beaten to death
-New bushings everywhere
-weight reduced to the max as full race car gutted, I hope 2800 lbs minimum
-DSM link, "welcome to 2003" :) ditching s-afc, s-itc, lasted 8 years not bad and 11 sec time slip.
-"R" compound tires
-seat time seat time seat time seat time, with a Evo16G you get a lot of...
Very interested in this reply as I saw in numerous thread that the internal gate on the BEP could'nt hold boost under 20-22 psi.I'm very interested in the internal gate as I could keep all the factory heat shields for road racing insted of going external.Ask Bullseye yesterday an the are BO
Tried the turbo blanket kit and it was ripping apart after not even a year....too much heat and it dried out.The most effective part for me was thestock heat shields back in place with the hood vent.
I tried back to back 20 min sessions with a without the front right light and it made a big...
Had all these issues and a lot more...What I've done:90% water mix with WW
Remove the thermostat
Mishimoto aluminum radiator
Hood Carbontrix vent
Fans always on (I'ts a small track)
Cutting the front bumper for more airflow
Put all back the stock heat shields (the most important)
Put a DEI...
I finally re-drill the head to put 10mm studs. It's soo strong it's crazy. Seems to hold a lot more than the 8 mm ones. Very good modification for RR or an heavy turbo.
I have a problem that's bothering me for at least a few years.Whenever I lap a few 20 min sessions I bust after 3-4 sessions my exhaust manifold gasket.
I must have change the gasket at least 10 times.I found that no support of the DP is probably my problem as I shake intensively the...
Thanks for the reply Flash, VERY good info and with pictures, it helps a lot.Would you think it's an upgrade over my Cobra kit or about the same braking power?
Always thought 4 pistons and better bias front/rear would do a better job over the CObra kit.
I'ts been flawless since day one and...
Sorry to bring this up but heres my question:I have on my car the Cobra BBK with custom brackets my question is do I need to purchased back my old 2G brackets to fit the evo8 brembos? I know I need the JDM knuckles but does the "Cobra" or Baer(the same) brakets fits?thanks for your help
This is the most motivating thread ever. Just reading those 16 pages I wanted to repair the few glitches on my car and beat the hell out of her on the track.Congrats on your win. This is by far the best looking 2G I've seen that is on par with it's performance.
1:31 at Willow spring is...
Like i said it was posted here, I think in the FP20G 6SL2 thread. Let me search and let you know. Here you go: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/287790-20g-6sl2-street-strip-turbocharger-3.html , third post on that page.
Here's a pic for you, the cars are now in Canada, they want 50K for the 2 cars, a bit to pricey.... Maybe they would share some advice on the build?

Tried ducting with the stock setup and didn't did that much of a difference. With long sessions and our big weight DSM you need thermal capacity in your rotors. I switch to the low buck Cobra caliper setup and NEVER had any braking problem ever since even with agressive pads and pretty hard...
Savais tu ICE-T que M. Handling lui meme sait parler francais, il aime bien pratiquer de temps en temps. Bon choix pour les D2, à défaut de prendre des konis ;)
I got them from Carbotech USA directly. Their website is down presently. The noise is not bad at all for this kind of performance.I've got Mustang Cobra calipers upfront also...
I'm a big fan of Carbotech pads...
Try the Panther +, very good initial bite, awesome modulation a high temperature and low on dust. A bit of noise but rotor friendly.
I tried Panther +, XP10, XP11, Porterfield R4E, R4, Performance friction 97, Hawk HP+, HPS, Black, Bleu. I would take the...
Would you prefer a narrower setup with more camber and a slightly more drop with Rs or the 17x9 option with almost no drop and less camber. My main concern is to know if it is benefical for road racing to go a lot larger but with the stock height and larger tires not tucking in...
Great choice indeed... very good sidewall, sticky but a bit loose if you run them more than 20 min on a hard lapping session, otherwise for autocross they heat quickly.
