Hey there, I work at a body shop and am pretty sure that the radiator support is welded in. Unless you know how to weld and like the previous post mentioned, line everything up, I wouldn't attempt it... Hope that helpsJustin

had the same problem.. You need to block the air flow from the radiator hitting your maf... either get a custom intake or block the air with some sheet metal... Maf is reading air temperatures of probably 200 degrees ( 200 is normal operating temp and your radiator is usally in that range)

Had the same problem on my 90 talon N/T... The starting problem will get worse.... Buy a can of starting fluid and try to start it with that, if she starts its your fuel pump taking a dump....

you can't just take the belt off to see what it will be like.. The p/s pump works one way, when you turn the wheel back and forth the fluid needs to travel in the same manor... its actually a lot harder to turn with the belt off than it is looping the lines near the rack and turning... I know...

Open her up, I know there isn't a lot of options for the 1.8 but exhaust and intake are the two easiest things to upgrade... Then you can look into spark plugs and wire...

Sounds like a broken shift fork... Are you able to shift through the gears with the engine off, or is it stuck in a specific gear?? Need a little more info...

Find yourself a transverse bar at your local parts store.. I think they cost about 50 bucks but man they make puling the 4g63 a snap~! It saves ya from having to try and move the cherry picker and engine by hand.. Also saves the paint from getting scratched while pulling or installing~!

I've found one possibity for a cannon plug.. Its out of a 2000 v6 honda accord (I know, who puts honda parts on a DSM?)... The plug itself has close to 85 wires if I remember correctly... If anyone has a better idea please let me know... I will post up more as I get closer to finishing my...

Dsmlink is not a wideband... And the airfuel ratio in dsmlink is not a very accurate tool for tuning...

Im in the process of doing the same thing but to the extreme... So far I have seperated the engine harness from the chassis harnes and am lengthing the engine harness in order to hide as much wiring as possible...

Not all 1gs have 4g63's in them, base model eclipse's and talons have a 1.8 litre.. I believe it's a 4g61, but a 4g none-the-less... :D

Coluldn't find a really good answer so I thought I would ask... Im no newbie to dsms (had four in the past four years just didn't know where I should post this)... So I can accross a NT 93 eclipse with a 7-bolt 4g63.. Bought the car for 400.. Had thrown a rod bolt through the oil pan...

Once you do get the axle part situated... Invest in a tranverse bar. Lets you tilt the engine and tranny to help clear everything. Should have them at your local autozone/automotive store.. Picked mine up for about 50 bucks and can pull the engine/tranny in about 1 1/2hours :thumb:
