I plan to get a DSMlink, but not till the spring. I was just wondering about a temporary solution when im driving with the tps unplugged, for when i need that little extra umph.
Tell me if this would be a reasonable solution.
Since if have 2 data files on the AFC, couldnt I just use one for the low settings and then one for the high settings.
In other words leave my low settings alone for the first data file. Then if I plan to get on it a bit, change the low settings...
I disconnected it and drove around a bit and it helped.
I was just wondering if by doing this it will mess with my S-afc II? Since the throttle setting for my afc are at 30% and 80% throttle, will the afc know when to uses these settings?
Right now when i look at the throttle on my afc it...
I am getting a misfire under low/moderate throttle, and throwing a CEL. I never get it under higher throttle, and it usually doenst happen in city (stop and go) driving. I usually get it when i am crusing at a constant speed.Heres the odd part
If i turn my car off and back on it will go...
after checking everything electrical, I went inside the car and checked the clutch. And Voila, the clutch was not triggering enough to let me start the car. A couple little turns later and its starts.thanks to all who gave some input.
I just got done putting the tranny back on my car, and I went to crank the engine over and i get nothing. The starter wont turn or make a sound, I checked the battery connections and the connections on the starter its self and found nothing wrongI'm going to look at it again tomorrow, but...
***** UPDATE *****i found the problem (finally)after wasting a lot of time with work i finally got around to working on my car.Heres the deallio,
Everything with the clutch is fine, my problem was with the flywheel. The alignment pin came out and was rolling around in there, but...
I just purchased an ACT flywheel and I am trying to figure out if it is already stepped to .612 for the act 2600 clutch.i called them and they could just tell me that its factory stepped (whatever that means)? im not sure if they mean prestepped from their factory or stepped to factory...
how odd that a thread hasnt been started before now...?anyway, I'll be there. I only live 20 minutes away, lucky me :) Hopefully I will be able to have my car there (just depends on if I can get a flywheel by then, and get the tranny put back.So where is everyone staying this year...
So is this more likely a spring from the clutch, or a bad TOB?Im not driving it right now until I get this fixed, and I think while I have the tranny off im going to get a lightweight flywheel in there.
Here's what happened.I was out playing with my car and launched it pretty hard. I then started to hear a rattling/chatter noise. Its not a grinding or a scrapping noise, just a wobbly or chatter noise and it is pretty loud.It seems to mainly make the noise when the clutch it not pushed in...
It doesnt change very much when not at WOT, it will only be from .02-.03 on the logger, and .025-.030 on safc. and at WOT its around .04it doesnt very much at all like its suppose to
Well I changed my O2 Sensor and Im still getting these same readings. Anyone know why that is?It stays between .025-.030 on my safc. and .02 and 4% on my datalogger.
I was told i need to get it to .90, but im not sure why these readings are so far off?
Yeah it was kinda confusing the way I wrote it.
On my data logger is the bank one for the first o2 sensor, and bank 2 for the second? If anyone knows this is should help me find out
By #2 I mean on the s-afc2, as in the second reading from the top. According to my manual that is for the O2 sensor.also, the #3 reading on my afc (third from the top) it reads about .45-.50V when warm. (and I would guess that would be a correct reading for the second O2).
02 problem? Not sure if this is it, but my Palm is reading 0.02V and my S-AFC II is reading 0.025 in the #2 slot.I know I should be around .91V so my question is, is there anything else it could be? or is it my 02 sensor. Thanks
I just had the same problem happen.I could adjust my setting before, now its like 2 weeks later and it says OMIT where the % should beDid you every find a solution to this? I have everything soldered, and had it working fine before.Very puzzled
Thats one of the first things I did, I checked all the wires. and even tightend down the nut on the top of the battery clamp ( I even fully charged the battery and hooked up a multimeter)
I went through all setups that I know of.Heres a copy of what I followed (prostreetonline.com)A few installation tips first. Be sure to use the Pink and Orange wires for the airflow signal wires, and NOT the Yellow and White wires. The AFC is a universal device and is setup to handle...
This is they I tried it, and it worked. I got my whole comp wiped clean. The Bad news is, I still have some problems and I think its my Motherboard.
O well, at least I got this whole thing clean. Thanks to all who helped
well I got some time to work on it, but still nothing. I checked all the wires and they seem to be connectect, I took the injectors out and looked at them and made sure I reinstalled them properly.I havent done the thing where you hold the spark part of the wire to the valve cover, could...
well I set the afc for -30%, and she still doesnt want to start. It will keep cranking over but never start, and it still has the hessitation/deadheading about every 2 seconds when cranking.I can smell gas after a while, so I know its getting gas in there. A friends said maybe one of the...
I havent messed with the fpr, it is set at its default setting (which happens to be 41psi. Should I leave it here or bump it up higher? and do I need the vac. line off when I adjust it?
Im just going to create a new thread about my problem just so I dont highjack this one, heres a link:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105967
I just installed my afc and 680 injectors and a 255 fuel pump, My fuel pressure is at 41 psi right now (is that the right setting for my fpr?)Well I did have the afc set to -20%, and my car wouldnt even crank over. It would turn over for about 2 seconds then it seemed like the starter would...
Quicky question,I have a set of 680cc injectors, what should be my initial setting with my afc?
I have seen between -18 and -30, that seems like a large difference so does anyone have any thoughts about it...Thanks,
Well that does answer my question, I didnt know load really mattered.I do plan on using that Guide you have on your site, did you add that part about the S-Afc II?I have also seen a few places that people have gotten the Knock to work on a 2g, is this really possible? or just myth...

I read somewhere that its easier to tune, if you set you TH Point's Low/High at 69/70 or 79/80.That may be easier to tune with, but is it better to have it set at the 30/80 setting?Any thoughts?
