what do you think is easier drilling a hole in your exhaust and then having the bung welded in which would take 5 mins tops OR having to do all the wiring that is necessary and soldering in resistors just to eliminate your rear o2 sensor?to each its own i guess
i dont have the car anymore but in Sept of 05 i bought a '95 TSi AWD with 18k original miles on it. it was garage kept the whole time the original owner had the car. it was black and absolutely flawless looked like it belonged on a showroom floor. anyway i bought it for 6,200.
good for you congrats on finding the car you wanted and good luck with the projecti know exactly what you mean bout not wanting to mod your evo...i did the same thing
dude you need to calm down...believe me you dont know enough about DSMs to be jumping onto a 50 or 60 trim. he tried to help you, and if you didnt know 650cc injectors would be useless with either one of those turbos then you need to do some research pal. and its not what you will be boosting...
+1
you can even find mint gsx's with 350-400whp for less than 10kbe smart about iti would even agree with buying an evo if you wanted something newer and more reliable
thanks guys for the help...yes i know every car is different and needs an individual tune. i set the low at -25 across and the hi at -40 and the idle is 100 times better. even though it still kept stalling in me. but anyways the car was picked up on sunday and it hurt to see her go. but atleast...
and if you have the head off...why not spend the 50 bucks on this tool?this spring compressor looks 100x easier than the one we have in our Chrysler shop...that tool was a bi*** and took forever
o no shes going...someones coming to pick her up sundayidk i guess i just wanted to see if i could have a decent baseline tune waiting for her. the person picking it up knows its gonna need a few toys to bring her back to life
hey guys...its been a year since i touched my DSM, last year i installed a whole 50 trim setup and now i need a base tune. 50 trim 21 psi, ex wg (if that makes a difference to anyone), 780cc's, hks 272s, FMIC, intake, exhaust, 255 fpthanks for the help
you can easily max out the performance of the 550s, its def better to go bigger. this way if you decide to add a few small things along the way the 550s arent maxed out already
i take that back the kit they sell comes with a different cone which wouldnt fit and besides there out of that kitand im 99% sure if you take out the stock air box, that filter will fit right onto the stock mas. but i will double check tom morning and post picsi havent gotten my filter...
i just ordered the same thing a few days ago, if you try to remove the stock air box the filter doesnt slip right on?if your sure you need the adaptor then they have it on dejonpowerhouse.com
go to a either a mitsubishi or chrysler dealership and order them there, they come in individual setsi had a few brand new sets left over from when i built my head, i wish i still had them i would of sent them to you but i just dropped them off to turbo trix recently cause i didnt need them...
great news early last week i was messing around with the car and she fired right up...lets just say it was something really stupid and leave it at that..im working on her right now and she should be done by tomorrow at latest and ill upload a video of her running :) thanks for the help
he said hes got a 14b, i highly doubt he bought a used 14b removed the wg actuator welded the flapper shut, drilled the manifold for a tial 38mm and called it a daylike boostnhard said check the boost controller, if its backwards it will not boost correctly
i had the same problem until i came across if on www.dejontool.com, they have 2 different ones available. if your wg is off the manifold or o2 housing. go into the site then click dsm then click exhaust on either 1g or 2g and its there...it works awsome and it only cost $39. hope i helped:thumb:
ok well today i checked my timing agian and my timing was right on the money, my compression was 90 all the way across, and im stuck....give me some ideas for tomorrowalso if it helps with the new headgasket and arp headstuds i torqued them down to 25, then losen to 0, 50 then losen to 0, 75...
well i just checked everything over yet again, and my compression is 90 psi all the way across. obviously my timing is off a tooth or two. so ill remove the belt and try again

hey guys, i have bought that street intercooler just recently and threw it on. i have pics but im driving around without a bumper, and i bought the UICP and the slim fan and everything went together as smooth as glass. if u still want the pics without the bumper i can upload them for you. but...
i have to agree, im a big apexi fan but for the price and the options, dsmlink is your best bet. DSMlink has a few more options than the power fc, but the power fc better detailed with all the sensors. exactly what Echo5Zulu said, many people here can help you with dsmlink if you ever need help...
like beccari56 said, the BC cams are on back order for months. since you have a 16g setup, the perfect combo for that turbo is 264/272. good luck with the setup:talon:
i was just wondering are you looking to take this to the tracks or just street racing?im in the middle of installing my setup right now and im going with a 50 trim as well, but i went with hks 272/272 i know im gonna have a rougher idle but i can also stretch out my rpms a little more. well...
your right i did sound a tad hostile, but my point was from an inside guy for chrysler im just telling u how EVERY chrysler dealership deals with every car that comes in the door. and Chrysler is SUPER ANAL bout warranty claims, so im just trying to help the kid out and not giving him some false...
i have some bad news for u but i can clearify your questions. im a certified chrysler mechanic. EVERY chrysler dealership does the exact same thing. once the car comes in the shop they log onto our Chrysler Star site and enter the VIN, exact mileage, and owners last name. from there i can see...
i have actual dyno sheets for parts and a downpipe and catback combo makes like 13 hp to the wheels and uicp made 15 wheel WOW, and i think an intake made 8, all without changing the boost. Fuel pump no dyno from, but my first mods were fuel pump, boost gauge, and mbc. it pulled hard, i know...
hey RichieRich, talontsidriver is right your car will blow blue smoke and also your car will feel like it has lost power if the pcv valve is cloged. and also its recomended to change it every 20k miles not 2 or 3 oil changes:talon:
Im from jersey im bout 25 mins away from pt. pleasant depending on your driving. i have my garage filled with my snap on tools, let me know what you need, you can just drop if off over here.:talon:
Deletrius is right and wrong, it all depends on the car. He probably bought one with high miles and many problems cause the previous owner didnt take care of it regularly. I bought mine almost 3 years ago with 18k miles on it and I have never had a single problem. I just do regular maintance...
For starter i gotta say i love my ball vent, its the best in the summer. Its funny whenever I tell someone i drive a talon i always get the same reaction, and i gotta tell them its the same as an eclipse.:talon:
hey guys, thats right the winter season is almost up, and the tracks are opening again in less than 3 weeks. What did everyone do over the winter, what were you running before, and what are you hoping to run after the mods?Im in the middle of my 50 trim setup and its not going to done until...
i dont agree with either the 16g or the bastard 20g. you will make 320-330 wheel depending on your tune with either of those turbos. but i know you would get sick of that turbo very quickly. i guarentee you will want to upgrade in 6 months. im tellin you get a sbr 50 trim. its cheaper than the...
i priced this project out last year and i think it costs like 2000your gona needgsx exhaust
rear end
gsx gas tank
drive shaft
awd trans/transfer case
awd flywheeli cant think of anything else as of right now but i know thats the basics, if i can find a nice black on black...
yea i had my stock awd (with turbo back) and i would hit 16psi and spike at 12 by redline and i had a 60 ft of 1.8 and a 1/4 of 14.3 and i run that all day long. just yesterday my 50 trim came in so i hope to see some big numbers with that.:talon:
your best bet for 800 buy a sbr g50 with internal gate 825 shipped, then buy a used pump and injectors, your gona end up spending another 300. i just ordered my 50 trim with an external wg. with all the right work im hoping to put down 400 wheel and running high 11s. Everyone here has told u the...
wow 800 for a turbo back custom exhaust, thats alot. my friends got a srt4 and wanted me to do a custom turbo back for him, but i didnt have the time so i told him to go to a muffler shop and get one, it should cost him around 350-400 for a turbo back and he did his shopping and told me that the...
