My PiLink is working great, it’s capability is priceless.I used two USB extensions, one for the flash drive and the other for Ecmlink. This is very convenient for quick laptop access for tuning changes. Another benefit is a quick way to prevent log capturing when not necessary, just unplug the...
I guess I should have sent you a PM on the Link forums, haha. Since my post in this thread, and my PM to you, I had the car out two more times. I ended up bumping the rev limiter to 8750 and that was enough for a 132.8 trap, in 3rd gear.My best 60' on the M&H DOT's was a 1.9 as well...
DSMu4ia, not sure if you'll see this post or not. I may PM if not. With the M&H 235's (I have the same tires), did you cross the traps in 3rd gear? I'm assuming you had the rev limiter set at 9k for those passes as well?I'm hating the FWD gear ratios and am considering getting an AWD...
If you rule out all installation errors, contact Innovate directly and they will be more than happy to help you. My LC-1 failed on me and their customer service was awesome and got me a new unit quickly.Good luck.
I would say go for it, looks like a quality product from the pictures. As for the ricey comments, that won't be an issue, if anything it will be decently quiet with the 2 resonators built in.
I'm putting a car together and seems like there's too little room between the rear of the transmission case and the subframe. I have about the tip of a small flathead screwdriver clearance and I believe that's too little. Never really paid attention on my previous cars but noticed it on this...
Easiest way is to connect a long hose to your fuel return line from the fp regulator and empty the fuel into a gas can. Turn the key to the on position (2g), and on a 1g start the car and the tank will empty within a few minutes. Of course, take caution when using this method. This is...
Yeah, it was a conservative tune and I'm not exactly sure how conservative.(WB sensor died) I was at ~30lbs, 24deg timing, so I didn't want to take any risks, so I just stepped up to 880's. I would definitely recommend the 1000cc injectors like dsm-onster said, can't go wrong there as long as...
I don't know a whole lot about the G-50 but if you're looking for a good solid 50 trim, just pick up a Scm5031. I've had mine for over a year and have been more than happy with it. No signs of failure and makes power to 30psi, with internal wg.:)Also, injector wise. I started out with...
I have no desire to buy a lsd for the car. I'm by no means a drag racer, I go to the track maybe once a year. I just want to know what kind of results to expect from these tires. I would like to see a 1.9 or 1.8 60'.
I have a buddy with a set of 22" slicks mounted and all and I'm thinking they are too small for my setup. My mods are listed in my profile. Would it be worth it to buy these and see what kind of traction I get or would it be a waste of money? They're 23x8x15 MT.Any input is appreciated...
Yes, that is true. The amount of air entering isn't going to be enough to make a difference in the tune. And if it does, i'll just burn another chip compensating for it or make the small adjustments with my translator. :thumb:
When we're talking about unmetered air, we're talking the air that is sucked in under vaccuum. Therefore, no, there is no way that air could be metered if the GM MAF is in the uicp and have the vent ran to the intake pipe, pre turbo. The effects of the unmetered air is very small.
Yeah, you guys are right, the air entering under vaccuum will still be un-metered with the blow through setup but will be filtered. I mainly set mine up the way it is yesterday for these reasons:1. I had the vent venting to the atmosphere underneath the car, making a mess of oil.2...
Definitely cleans the bay up a lot! I thought about doing it to my previous car but didn't feel like going through the hassle. Wiring isn't too bad if you work slowly and have a plan of attack but it takes so damn long. Looks good.:thumb:
Well, I installed a "catch can" today on the breather side. It's temporarily mounted now, need to make a bracket for it to hide it. I also ordered a few of the good check valves for the Pcv side and need to figure out a way to cleanly install one of the "catch cans" there as well. I thought...
I'm not totally sure what holds the screen in place. I know there is a little groove that it sits in and I think there are a few very tiny tack welds that hold it in place.I guess i'm the only one this has happened to?
Well, I actually checked my pressure while warm and front and rear were both around 45psi. I lowered the front to 40 and the rear to 42psi. Cold, i'm pretty sure they were all around 35/37psi.I actually thought about what you just said above earlier. I asked a few buddies if they thought...
Seems as if my car does the opposite of yours. I had way more oversteer when it was cold. The 615's are suppose to be alot better when warm, i'm pretty sure they fixed the problem with them. I can't really speak from experience, I only have a couple hundred miles on them...mostly cold. I...
I will start with my setup: 92 Fwd, Kyb Agx (F-3)(R-7), Sportlines, Susp. Tech. Rear Anti-Sway bar, Falken Azenis RT-615 tires. When I first installed the rear anti-sway bar and the new springs, the car felt great. It was still cool out, probably in the 40's-30's when I drove it most. I...
I'm not too sure what caused mine to detach, and like I said not sure when either. At the end of last year I was running 30lbs on my race gas tune, probably happened around there. I didn't think it would effect anything at WOT and not surprised it effected the idle and mid fuel trims. Dialing...
Ok, I didn't think that would be right.I never thought about the air entering through the vent. I never really took the time to learn how the whole system worked.I'm probably going to look into tapping my intake pipe and route it the way it's suppose to be here soon. I do like the...
I've skimmed through this thread and have one question to clear things up. I always thought the catch can was to be vented so that's what i've always done. So, if the vent is not re-routed to the intake pipe, is it alright to cap the other end of the 'Home Depot" can off so it's totally...
I would like some more input on the effects of removing the screen as well. I know it's there to direct the air but I highly doubt it will have any effect at WOT or even at idle. I'm not exactly sure how long it had been missing but I had zero ill effects up until yesterday when I pulled it...
I was swapping MAF's trying to diagnose a tuning issue and noticed that the screen that was there before, is gone! I found this pretty odd considering it had to go through the motor. I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else and thought I would post this to let people know. And before...
They're real easy to remove, just remove all the existing material off of it and clean it up. Spray it and reinstall, the paint held up on one of my previous cars.
I found my code and thought I would post up a little tip. I was trying very hard to make out the code, I was pretty sure I knew what it was but wasn't positive. I got my camera out and put it on the magnifying mode and took a few pictures. I took one from the top and sure enough, it was very...
Yeah, I looked at that first. It's just so hard to tell from that, it would be more of a guess than anything. I'm pretty sure I figured it out, someone posted a very helpful link on my original thread I started before I was re-directed here...
I've looked everywhere for this paint code, my label is faded under the hood and the dealer can't pull the code from the VIN. I'm hoping someone with the same color can take a few minutes to check their car for me. And yes, I already checked all the sites online trying to match something, I...
