How many people rice there cars out when they don't know any better, then end up changing it and can't believe how rice they used to be?? I just gave my opionion thats all. I have a strong feeling things on this car will change one day, especially having a fiberglass bumper in new england. :notgood:
Widebody kit is fine, rear bumper is fine, the front bumper is hideous it doesnt go with the car at all and is an ugly bumper in general especially from the side. The spoiler is alright would look better without it. The rims need to go, they have no style. The color scheme looks strange and just...
Spray it all down with an engine cleaner, wash, rinse, and repeat. Then scuff it down with a 3m scuff pad. Then soak a face cloth in rubbing alcohol and wipe down everything you want to paint. Once it dries prime what you want to paint, then paint. I recommend using a rubberized coating from...
I think its such bs that these bars are anything over $50. you can get a strut bar for about $20. shipped but u cant get one of these bars for less then a $100?
Nope its called the c-pillar bar, it goes between the 2 rear seat belt mounts. It's extremely commone to find them for honda's and others but a pain to find them for an eclipse. Here's a pic:
I wouldn't recomend tasting antifreeze..."Antifreeze poisoning occurs in two stages: In the first stage, the ethylene glycol in the antifreeze causes a drunken appearance in the subject within about 30 minutes which may continue for several hours. After passing through stage 1, the subject...
The front and rear springs look different and they have a different part # on them. If eibach had a descent site I could see the different part #'s but since there site sux I cant see them. The springs should also be installed so you can read the eibach symbol and part number and its NOT upside...
I had the same problem, as have many others, you need to replace the factory return line, either with a 3/8 hard line or with a 6AN line. The pressure is too high going into the return line and its backing up causing the fuel pressure not to drop, rather then flowing smootly back into the tank...
Does anyone know here do you get the bars that go across the rear seat belts? And what they are called? (Not the buckle, the closest part to the rear windows)
Please start using the search button, I know you said you "tried" but I am assuming you shut off the monitor after you pushed the search button, because I am amazed that you couldn't find a post about carbon fiber. There are upteen billion posts about carbon fiber and pics so start looking.
Do not use the handbrake to launch, its unnecessary and only give you an excuse to change your ebrake brakes. Rev the car to 5500 instead (4500 is too low) don't try and rush off the clutch, let it out slowly until you feel it grab then let it out quicker but don't just drop the clutch, and...
How did u wire up the stereo? Try running a seperate power wire 12 or 14 guage wire to the radio, make sure u put a 30 amp fuse inbetween.
Also run a thicker ground wire for the radio, as short as possible, don't run it from the battery, just find a good ground point on something metal near the...
I have only had my hood on the car for about 4-5 months, but it looks as good as the day I got it if not better. Then again I don't drive the car in the winter and there are about 2-3 coats of wax on it. :thumb:
The hood and hatch are VIS. VIS upgraded the latch on there new hoods so it should be fine, hood pins are always good for added insurance though. I actually drove with the hood latched but not pushed down once going about 60mph without a problem, I didnt realize it was popped until i stopped, I...
I picked up the carbon fiber spoiler from ebay for about $250. shipped, i was extremely impressed with the quality especially for the price and it being from ebay. The color of my car is a stock color, but its very rare Metallic Cayenne Red (P88).
A bigger tb is going to do nothing unless you bore out the intake manifold to match the size of the new manifold and even then its useless if you aren't flowing more air into the throttle body or if the manifold and head are not bored enough to let the increased amount of air pass through into...
The whole purpose of the shift light is to not have to look at the gauge cluster to know when to shift, and you can keep your eyes on the road instead. So make sure you have a bright enough light that shines and you notice it while keeping your eyes on the road, otherwise you might as well just...
What is up with your bov recirculating tube? Either buy the recirculating kit and connect it to the bov, or plug it up with a cap, that must be throwing your airflow readings way out of wack.
Also the ground for the tps on 1gs is on the back side of the tb, its not in the tps sensor or harness. Its on the back side of the tb and is connected to the adjuster that adjusts where the tb stops. Its a single wire, make sure its connected, and has a solid connection. If its your friend who...
48826 will need to be replaced.
48862 can be removed its a power steering cooler, which you don't need unless you rally race, most dsmers have removed this as well as myself. Just connect 48827c & d together by removing those and getting a rubber hose from a parts store, coolant hose should...
That whole passenger quarter panel needs to be painted that will cost a few hundred right there. I'd say anywhere from 500 to 1k. Ttake some shots from further away and post them, the camera is pratically humping the car in these pics.
I agree the greddy 24r front mount is crap. I was surprised as well because Greddy usually makes good products. There intercooler also has the largest psi drop that I have encountered.
Are there any front mount intercoolers for the 2gb's that allow you to still use the factory fog lights? (preferably with short route piping, and mount to stock bolt holes)
Please post pics and details of your front mount if you have this setup currently. Thanks,
-Brian
Easy? somethings, and thats only if you make it that way by removing a ton of stuff, ie cruise control, ac, emissions, etc. 100% easy? not even close. Try re-placing the power steering rack on a 2g awd, or buying a car from someone who doesn't know what anti-seize is, bolts best friend by the...
I hope you didn't take the last pic with the car on because if you did, your vac is extremely low. So low infact im surprised it is running. Its most likely a leak in the line/fitting that connects to the boost gauge. Fix that asap, because it won't be giving you an acurate reading while in vac...
Nice job, a few of my opinions and a couple things to think about if you ever want change.
I would do the pink graphics the same color as the wheels. I'd also remove the boomerang thing in the middle of the graphic.
I would change the soft top from tan to black.
I would change the orange part...
I don't like either of them but I prefer the 1st one more because its inset. If you hit something with a rim without an inset you scratch the whole rim, if the rim has an inset you only scratch the lip of the rim.
Hideki, did you see the GSR-4 badge on the 2g eclipses as well? Is the GSR-4 emblem the same as the GSX emblem font and location wise? just different letters? Any pics?
Is the GSR-4 emblem the same as the GSX emblem font and location wise? just different letters? Any pics? The euro eclipses have euro tail lights, orange sidemarkers on the fenders, euro mirrors that fold in, metric dash, the gsr-4 emblem instead of gsx, and its right hand drive. I'm not sure...
Do 1g's have that electrical box that bolts to the middle of the firewall and looks sort of like a rectangle tent, with 4 semi-thick wires going into it? I know 2g's have this, this is what controls your injectors, make sure its plugged in and if it is try replacing it with a new one and see if...
I was hoping someone could post a dsmlink log of a 2.3 stroker on 93 pump gas. I have a 2.3 stroker, with a 50 trim, and 272's, running 20 psi on 93 pump gas, I had to pull 4 degrees of timing out from 5.5k up because I was getting knock. I would like to compare logs and would like to know if...
Might as well get bigger valves, and upgrade the head parts to improve performance while the engine is apart. New springs, new retainers, and upgrade to 3g lifters :thumb:I'd go 1mm over and get these valves:
