I just ordered this disc. I already have an act 2600pp and fidanza flywheel with a new plate on the way.Its $175 plus 20 bucks for shipping for regular retail customers.
Well I lost the only key I had to my 91 talon. Somehow fell off my keychain. With no eagle dealers in existence I head to mitubishi to see if they can still use the vin number. They send me to dodge. Dodge says to try mitsubishi. I really don't want to shell out too much money to a...
The kits I sell here locally are a high quality plug and play system that have a 3 year warranty and I only charge $140 or $125 to my club members. These are the highest quality kits I could find. I've found more expensive kits, just not high quality kits. I was stating that I should start...
All the valves were brand new and she timed perfectly. We were actually dumb founded as we got the timing perfect on the first shot. I'm thinking he might have damaged the valves when he set the head down on the bench to put the intake and exhaust manifolds on. Thats the only thing I can come...
Just don't run a 255 without an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You'll have crazy overrun and you'll never get your tune right. 650's are the biggest you want to go with only an afc to tune. Have you thought of a maft gen 2 instead of an afc?As far as the fuel pump goes, it all...
I had a buddy use the pte 680s and safc II worked good but not the best pain in the a** to get to run good off of boost. I would recommend just getting the eprom ecu and get a chip makes life about 1 million times easier
If you're going to own a dsm you need to become a self taught mechanic. Nows the time to learn. Start pulling the timing components off then pull the head and see what carnage you have.
By "tuning window" he means the higher compression you go the more spot on your tune has to be. The lower the compression the sloppier your tune can be.
Once you put that motor in your car the timing belt's going to break on that one too and you'll still be in the same spot. Why don't you pull the timing cover off and see if it jumped or the belt broke. Pull the head and see how many valves you bent. If the valves didn't take out the pistons...
Yes. But in your case, if they're going into a 92 talon then you would buy two kits. One for low beams and one for high beams as the bulbs are separate.
You can go as high as you like on the color temperature. The only thing it changes is the color. The more color, the less light output. The most popular color temp I sell is 8000K. The best light in my opinion is the 6000K.All the cheap kits usually come with an extra harness, relay and...
I know it may sound really stupid but check the firing order. When we put a head on a 91 gsx somehow wires 1 and 2 got swapped. It wouldn't change anything if we pulled the wires off those cylinders but if we removed 3 or 4 it would want to die out. It honestly took me a couple of hours to...
Wow. Those are expensive. Really nice though. And sylvania doesn't make the Xenarc kits anymore. You can get the cheap ebay housings and a high quality hid kit and pay less than $200.Also the kit that 1slo1g has in his car has a shield on the head light bulb for use in a halogen...
The 4"x6" ebay housings aren't really a projector. Its a halogen housing with a projector lens in the middle. There really isn't a cut off. He drove behind me all the way home when we were done installing them and the glare isn't as bad as I thought. That video doesn't do it any justice.
Take off the dust shield cover on the bottom of the tranny. Try and put a wrench on each pressure plate bolt and see if its tight. Put a half inch ratchet on the crank and spin the motor so you can check all the flywheel bolts. Did you put locktite on the flywheel bolts? Not that it matters...

Man, sorry to hear about your troubles. Maybe its the cheap slave's you're using? What actually broke? I was just bleeding one on my talon 3 weeks ago. As I was trying to be careful not to strip the bleeder screw, I decided to use a stubby 10mm wrench. Its only about 4 inches long. I some...
I've seen front mounts restrict air to the radiator before. Why don't you try to get a set of pusher fans and install them on the front side of the radiator. You can find 10" fans for $25 and 12" fans for $30.Flushing your system would be the first step. Thermostats are cheap so that...
I have driven one of my car's without a dash and had no problems. However, a friend of mine had a shop fiberglass his dash and paint it. When they did they painted over his vin plate. He got pulled over one night and his car was towed, impounded, and he was arrested for 1st class vehicle...
Try and borrow an extractor set. I've seen bolts broke off in dsm's all the time. If you have access to a welder try this.Find an old nut that you might have laying around. Hold that against the bolt that's broke. Use the welder and weld the inside of the nut to the broken bolt. Let...
Try bleeding the system. Also check for brake fluid at the slave cylinder and the master cylinder. Look up above the gas pedal and see if anything looks "wet".
A lot of people say if you're mostly stock to go with a 2100. In my own opinion mind you, I would go with a 2600 with a street disc. You should be able to run 11's on that settup without a problem as long as you change your disc once a year.
Are you sure your fan is kicking on?
Coolant level isn't low? Air pockets will sometimes cause an overheating problem at idle.
How old is your water pump?
Do you notice any coolant leaks from the timing belt area?
Do you have a front mount on the car?
I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I have been contemplating what route to go with my 91 TSI. Its only fwd. When I upgrade internals i'm pretty much going to just go with an eagle/wiseco combo and keep it a 2.0L. With the extra torque from stroker you'll deffinately have a lot of...
If you can get a whole 2.4 why not build the 2.4? You can use 1G big rods and buy custom pistons, buy a piston and rod combo. Not too sure of what you were planning but there are endless places to go if you have complete 63 and a complete 64. Most depends on your budget.
Its technically not set up for me as i want to get rid of the 550's and I want to get a different chip. I'm just going to run the stock 91 ecu with the 450's and the ported 14b thru the winter and start getting everything i need before summer hits. I want to go with a 50 trim and 680's...
I tried searching here and ebay for a 90 eprom and only found a few. $250-$300. Seems a bit high for a used ecu. I really hate people who price their stuff to high so how much do you think i should ask for the 90 eprom already chipped for 550's?
I was thinking $200 for the ecu or $350 for...
Well thank you. I appreciate all the information.I'm going to disregard your post about the transfer case as both cars are fwd. lol. Just pickin on ya.Thanks again.
Pete
I understand that was the answer I got. I was asking if there was any other way around it. I was under the assumption that there was an easier way than swapping everything from the 90.
You guys are awesome. Thanks for the input. I do want to eventually get a new dsm chip as mine doesn't have the stutter box (only a stage 1) and would also like to convert the stock boost gauge to a knock gauge so maybe I will sell my 90 eprom with the chip and just try to find an eprom 91-94...
