Hi all, been out of the game for a couple years. While the turbo is cool to have as a keepsake, it's better off in the hands of someone who could put it to good use.Comes with the stainless oil feed, DSM flanged inlet, Wastegate off the o2 housing. Came off a running 2.4L eclipse I parted...
Wow that looks great! I think I'm going to pick this up and try it. Does this have the correct relay?Edit: And how did you get it for $17?! For google search purposes: mopar 1-68003867aa
I drive my 1g every now and then, here in Sterling! I think I've seen one other clean DSM around the Leesburg around (black with HID's). You drive yours daily?
I dont know why, but they just look and feel like they're copying directly from boyce avenue. No doubt she nailed her part, but I'd like to see her(them) do some original songs that have legs to become something. She's a good find though! I'll keep an eye out.Just a few I prefer from boyce...
Yo! I'm in Sterling but travel to Leesburg, Ashburn, Purcellville area a lot. I'm just getting the car back together and street legal.Do you guys go to Chik fil A in Sterling on Fridays? The best times are the first fridays of the month (like this week).
The chassis is different and thus the holes to put the short-route piping through would also be different (elevation, diameter etc.). I haven't personally experienced putting a 2g in a 1g so I'm just speculating.Just save up and get the 1g short route kit, it's a pain in the ass to get the...
I got a chance to install her last weekend and I've been driving around for the past couple days really testing it out. Here are pictures from the install with the review at the end:Overall the install went VERY smooth. The lobro joint bolts are a 12mm and a 8mm allen head, remember to...
So, after searching and finding nothing. I'm uploading some pictures and my experiences with this company and the drive shaft.First off, I called to ask a few questions and they were very prompt to answer the phone and answer any question that I had. A+Second, when I purchased on Friday...
I'm gonna put them both on a scale and see the true weight differences. I got a new one cause I'm pretty much done with my performance modding and my lobro joint is toast. A new joint was like ~$500 so it made sense to step up.

I have a 27offset on a 17x9 wheel with 245/45/17 tires and they stick out. I personally like the look though however weird that may sound. Keep in mind I have a 1gaA +17 in a 17x9 wheel would more then likely look horrible and the rubber would be waaaay too stretched.
Guys I bought the last set off of him (sorry).I'll be making a post about install and review when I get a chance. He explicitly told me he wanted to make another run of them though so not all hope is lost.
Hey guys, here's my situation:I have serious thumping and howling/whirring coming from the rear of my car. I literally replaced my whole rear subframe with all the bushings and this didn't help. I needed a 4bolt rear with new bushings anyway so it just made sense. So I jacked the car up on...
No picsThanks, it looks better now that there are no wires hanging down. It's very tight on both the sides and under the dash. Depending on what size computer you have it would probably be very tough to integrate the glove box in there.Looks like I'll have to take some pics earlier then...
Haha well... that explains it. I appreciate your post, now I have to go find out what to do with the subframe bushings that are burnt out. I messaged Ray but he's not interested in doing a run just yet.I would have loved for them to have said front subframe bushings on their website and...
Well, I purchased a full 4-bolt rear subframe that I've been sandblasting, painting and putting new bushings in. I went to the Energy Suspension website where they have the part numbers here. I purchased:5.3109G - Rear End Control Arm bushing set
5.4103G - Sub Frame Bushing setHere's where...
Yea it's two keyboard tray sliders, plexiglass and mounts. It snaps into place so it's not all sliding back and forth while driving. Once I get my interior complete I'll make a write up.
Well, you need a 4" to 3" coupler to fit from the mas to the intake pipe which you can see in the picture. The 2g one is just a straight 4" to 4".The only adjustments you have to make is with the airflow sliders and those adjustments you can find on the dsmlink forums and on their wiki. I...
I got the FFWD High-Flow kit found: Here. Darren comes off as an asshole and there are much cheaper kits out now that I would go with. When it comes to the gas tank, I would sand blast it. Get the $14 sandblasting adapter at home depot which lets you use a standard air compressor. Then some...
Apex yours looks great! Seems like it sits pretty low though. Glad I could help a few out.I just recently installed an Evo Mas in the same position with no problems at all. The Evo mas is shorter but I didn't need to change anything.
Yep, I have. Shipping was great but came rolled up and was a PITA to get to sit flat. Save your old carpet and lay it down over the new carpet. Trust me this will make things A LOT easier. Some quick pictures: Electronics are a lot cleaner now btw.
I've asked MANY vendors to make this and they don't want to mess with it. The stock return has been on many high horsepower DSM's so they feel they don't need to make one. Yea it's easy but I don't want to deal with it either, I'd rather pay to have it put together from people who do this...
Here's a vid guys. Turn your speakers up loud to hear it.The whiring sound you hear in reverse was the same sound I got in first when I first started the car after the install, it's since gone away going forward though.I'm a newb when it comes to this stuff so please let me know what you...
Thanks for the response. It looked to be ok and it has <5K easy miles on it. It didn't do it with the old transmission and we used the same TOB.I meant DOT oil I just had gear oil on my mind. Have you had experience with a bad TOB? I'll look into it.
Ok,Well Vinman and I installed the Premium Transmission from Jackstransmissions on Sunday and it went relatively smooth until the startup and drive. Keep in mind we didn't touch the clutch at all during install, simply bell housing/transfer off and new stuff on. My symptoms:1. From a...
I see around 11hg of Vacuum with my 2.4L BC 280's with no degree. The BC280's hurt the low end (possibly because they are not degreed) but really compliment top end.~47lbs/min at 7K on <20psi. G60, stock intake manifold, FP race ex. mani.I'll get a new log with my new mods here soon.
When I did my front sway bar we had to shave down the bushings and use a longer bolt to be able to start the threads and pull the rest of the metal over the bushing. It sucks cause it's pretty tight quarters but if you have the subframe off I'd think it should be pretty easy.
Great read! Start from the back as there are copy and pastes of what the OP has said and done. There's some hysterical pictures and comments throughout though.Must Read
I literally just got done doing the sound deadening.I bought a torch from Wal-Mart and a heavy duty spatula type deal that I found in the carpentry/paint section and went at it. Took about 3-4hrs and I'd say it was about 15lbs or so.Heat the tar in a particular section till you can see...
You might be overflowing the stock 1g intake mani. with the 35r. That and some mild cams and meth injection would vastly improve your setup.Or you could just run a lot of boost.
My setup: cruising with no fans on during the middle of the day is 176. When stopped it quickly rises and I turn the fans on. I'm thinking I need to go to a 190* thermostat so dsmlink doesn't pull timing.Going 80+ and after hard pulls I see 183-186.
Koyo Rad, 2x 10" fans direct wired, Huge...
8K is probably the limit I'd take mine to. Keep in mind the 2.4L flows 20% more air. So 7.5K rpm in the 2.4L is like 9K in a 2.0L.So needless to say, I think you could make enough power with a big turbo. ;)
( Dumb Question )What would it take to get something like this made?Judging by the picture below I take it you got the kmem. and the front bar only?I also emailed him with a bunch of questions, I'll report back if the findings are significant.Edit: Recieved the email, he said he...
