I have stock injectors, and it appears the stock replacements I have along with the stock ones I took out are both missing these.
Anyone in southeastern WI have a set?
Oh, they went in fine. But I can push/pull them up and down almost a 1/4" with the rail tightened all the way. Just wondering if that's supposed to be normal? I can push them all the way down if that's all it takes, but what keeps them from popping back up a little?
So, I swapped out my injectors today. I put everything back together and I can notice quite a bit of up/down play in the injectors between the manifold and fuel rail. Is this normal? The 3 black spacers are in there and all 3 bolts are tightened.
I've been seeing alot of the 'show off of the month's with awd that have tons of money in them and tons of aftermarket parts only running mid 12's to mid 11's (example being the current one running 1000cc injectors and running a 11.1 or something close, not to offend anyone). Now, the 'Project...
I'd get 2 generic resonators (glasspacks). Put one right after the cat (or in place of the cat if you're going catless) and one right before the outlet. I think it sounds really nice that way, quiet at idle and loud when you step on it.
Not sure where else to put this besides the noob forum:
I turned my car off yesterday and the normal dash lights came on that do when the car is off and I had the heater fan on. I removed the key and the lights and fan stayed on, and when I got out of the car I could still hear the radiator fan...
Yeah, i'd like a warmer date if possible due to loss of garage space an no will to fix the car in the cold. Early/Mid june would be a great time, possible several
the hose that connects to the bcs is the one that goes to the end of the bov. It reads a certain boost setting (14psi I think) and sends vacuum to the bov (or stops, i never can remember) whichs opens the bov, releasing the air pressure from the intake path. And it looks to be atmosphere as...
I'm currently in the market for a new house (tired of renting) and if I get something in the next couple months we can all meet there. It will probably be in the whitewater area. Just throwing out an idea, maybe meet somewhere, do some cruising/car show/swap meet type thing and then people are...
I'm considering it, but it kinda hurts to think about parting out a car that has taken up so much of my free time over the last 2 years (even if it hasn't gotten it finish)
Yeah, but there isn't anything like I have. Mine has a ton of upgraded parts, along with all the stock ones, but I haven't finished it. Thats also why I put it in the newbie forum, even though I've been around for years. I don't know what to look at getting for what I have.
Sorry for the long post ahead, but I really am looking for some help:Alrighty, first of all I got a 91 Laser RST FWD. Its been a project car for the past 2 years, but never got fully finished due to time not being available. The body is all intact except the front and rear bumpers. I have...
I'd stop out, but other than being in whitewater sat night my car is also 'put down' for the winter. Otherwise I might stop out in my truck if I get back before 5
its not that bad. Say you win the bidding at $500, buy a 1gen gsx with a messed up body for $1k, spend another $1k on misc parts and maybe another $500 on unforseen stuff, plus $1k to get the front end fixed. You have now spent $4k on one hell of a fast sleeper car. A good condition 1gen awd...
I'm looking for an AWD for under $2500. Searched all of the internet so if anyone in the midwest knows of one or has one thats going for under $2500 and is running please let me know! I need something to get me 30 miles round-trip a day so it has to be somewhat reliable. I will drive anywhere...
I swear I saw somebody with a video camera though, it'd be cool to see what it looked like from another perspective as I missed a few of the cars and the airbag thing.
I've already got a fwd, but I was considering purchasing an awd so I can have one dsm for daily driving and one as a track car. I was just wondering if the time and effort of making the awd a track car would be worth it, especially since my fwd is close to being done
Yeah, im not much of a bandwagon type person. If I get an awd, then I'm still going to keep my fwd. One will basically be street legal and one probably wont, with both being setup to be light and fast. My only problem was and is that I need a daily driver right now while I work on my rst...
Well, for now I think I've decided on picking up an awd for winter driving and deciding what one I will make as a track car once next summer comes around and I have the money to upgrade. Now here's the big problem, after searching ebay, autotrader, the classifieds here, and the classifieds in...

Well, technically its not the only way. I mean you could find a way to put it in front of the maf, but that would be really tricky, interesting to see, and probably not very useable.Anyway, I picked up my maft and gm 3" maf for $100 total from a website running a special. I can't remember...
This is probably coming from someone who hasn't priced out a dsm in the last 6 months or so. Last year you could pick them up mint for cheap, now all of a sudden the prices have skyrocketed. Not sure why, but the cars actually appreciated in value since last year.
In order to not run rich from atmosphere venting, you have to have the blow-off before the mass airflow sensor. Its that simple. If you let the air out after the meter, it thinks the air is there and adds fuel accordingly. If you let air out before the meter, it doesn't read that air obviously.

depends whats wrong with the car I guess. Personally I'd go down to AMS if the car is running. Otherwise there's a place in racine thats a bit closer and a few in milw., but none of them specialize in dsms
I'm looking to run an intercooler sprayer and possibly a radiator sprayer (due to not being able to fit 2 fans with my turbo). Just wondering if anyone has done this and had any problems with the hot steam coming up under the hood?
Actually the cruise is for everyone and there is a huge import/tuner crowd that's there every year and nobody, including the guys with the classic's, that go ever seem to care. In fact all the big car company's showcase all there new cars out there also and that never seems to bother anyone.....
Glad to see someone is willing, but wisconsin rapids is a far drive. I'm probably just gonna have to trailer it in to a shop and have them do the work, as much as I hate that. I just don't know what else to do.
