Hi,I'm the second owner of this car from 2004 to 2018. I sold it to the guy you bought it from. Looks like you have been busy destocking it lol. I only recognize the paint and rims. Lol I'm confident it's in good hands. Let me know if you want to know anything about it. I would even consider...
These are for a 1G so much different. I've been in contact with JNZ but they don't have the "TSI" one. They informed me that they can get the other two from a "vintage" (to think a 14 year old car is vintage) supplier. ChryslerDirectParts informed me of the same thing so they must be using the...
I decided to respray the rear bumper and took off the old decals instead of masking them. I want to get new decals but cannot find one piece anywhere. Places like JNZ and ChryslerPartDirect have two ("EAGLE" and "AWD") but not the elusive "TSI" part. Dealer doesn't have it either nor Flea Bay. I...
oh man! that's hilarious :) You can't find a more disposible car then this and these guys want to do this to it! hahawhen it died I was ready to roll it off a hill into the lake but I need it to last the winter
Pretty sure it's the alt. too. If it was anything else like the ignition coil or distributor it would start every time... well I took out the old alt. and it's sitting in the Talon's trunk ready to be core exchanged when the rebuilt alt. comes in from Montreal in a couple of days
Thanks. Never came across that forum. Wow all those people dedicated to such a POS car. ROFLIt didn't start last night or this morning so I figure it is the alternator after all.
Hmmm... but then why would the car start afterwards and maintain a health idle? If the alternator goes doesn't it completely kill the battery? It does hesitate ONLY under load though. If i pop it into neutral I can rev the engine without any hesitation
This is actually regarding my 1991 Geo Metro daily driver. It's a 3 cylinder with 96000 miles on it. I couldn't find any half decent Metro forums so I would really appreciate your help.I was driving on the highway during slight ran. The first thing I noticed were the wipers working about...
There is noise coming from the strut assembly. I can even turn the strut nut with little resistance. The other side doesn't move like this. See videos. Which parts do I need to replace? How long can I drive like this?http://videos.streetfire.net/video/fb8444b6-0e70-4627-b88b-99a000e80075.htm...
Around here it'll run you $1000 - $1500. Probably easier to claim it under insurance and pay the deductible. Not sure how it is in LA but here a Comp. claim doesn't go against your record so the price won't increase.
The ones listed in the MachV website are the Chicago Rawhide ones. Don't cheap out and get o-rings. I tried that and it didn't work. The Chicago Rawhides work perfectly just don't forget to put silicone grease on them.
I'm not sure the material the control arms are made of makes a difference when it comes to the spring jumping out. Also, I think the 2g has more ball joints than the 1g. 2 lower and 1 upper on each side. Regardless it's the spring jumping out and causing havoc is what I'm worried about.In...
Im going to be replacing all the front control arms soon. Do I need to compress the springs at any point?I dont want the spring flying in my face or damaging the car. I did a thorough search on this site but couldnt find a concrete answer.
I'll try to do the drift method as Defiant mentioned. If that doesn't work I'll drill it out.As far as the other Mcgards go I'm just going to replace them with regular lugs since there are sockets that can remove them.
Are you sure the back of the stud is easily accessible just by just raising the car? This is one of the rear wheels on an AWD. If I remember right from the time I changed one of the rear hub assemblies youd have to take the rotor off to get to the back of it.
I see what you're saying... If you're not sure then I'd take it to a machine shop and get their advice rather then putting everything back together only to have to take it apart again.
If it ALMOST slipped off the crank then that means it never came off so it should be fine. I'm a little confused as to why you say there are 4 valves when there are 16?
Thanks for replying guys. I thought nobody had any suggestions for this one. Right now I have the components hooked up directly to the factory amp. They sound fine so Ill probably just leave it until I get an aftermarket head unit.
I wasnt able to find an answer to this anywhere. The Infinity 6000cs component system Im installing in the front has only one input into the crossover. The factory amplifier has 2 outputs, one for the tweeter and one for the woofer.Could I connect either amp. output to the crossover input...
Why not just flush and fill the Tranny fluid? If it works it'll save you time dropping the tranny and you'll buy some time before you have to rebuild it.
If you need cargo capacity it's definetly the GTI over the SI... can't beat a hatchback over a trunk for cargo room... I wouldn't get a VW though... number one car I always see broken down on the side of the highway... that's just my experience though... and being built in Mexico just makes it...
lol... so true... read this article...http://www.globesports.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20070529.wsptcupbeach29/GSStory/GlobeSportsHockey/homeproof that a team like Nashville is wasting away there and should move to a city like Hamilton... yeah yeah I know you'll say Buffalo and Toronto...
As much as I hate Ottawa being a Leafs fan I think they'll win it. It would be nice to get the cup back in Canada. Also, I find it funny that except for one guy all the posters in this thread are from the Great White North.
...err... you forgot about the Civic SI a couple of us mentioned... more fuel efficient then the two cars you've got mentioned :) also the Saturn Sky is nice though not practical. :thumb:
