Seems i have a few things to fix on my car. My CV joint is messed up makes a nice hard knocking sound when i start moving. My question is the Exterior driver door handle... it seems that the handle wont work. Interior handle works the outside does not. I lift up and it feels normal like the...
if you dont have a logger.. and you are running nos with 600cc injectors plus a translator.. yeah you should have got that a long while ago. Looks like you could use some upper intercooler pipes and that intake pipe replaced.. get rid of that rubber crap. Impressed that you can get away with...
have you checked the door operation well. Unhook the wastegate arm and make sure it opens and closes fine. Also you can check the wastegate itself by just hooking up a bike pump to it and see it it will move that arm to swing the door open or not when pressure builds on it. On a side note, I...
my suggestion.. just enjoy the fact that it runs right at the moment. Start fooling with that 420a motor and you will end up blowing it up. Just not worth the headache. Trust me.. it's better to have a running car than a fast one that wont go anywhere. Just go ahead and enjoy your car.. save...
Ok this is easy. Same thing happened to me when I first put on my exhaust. First, decide how much money you want to spend and what your goal is. Easiest.. and cheapest to try would be to port your turbine housing at the wastegate. Or... get a bigger flapper and port the wastegate while you...
I am a big fan of this manifold http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1891&Its a nice manifold, flows more than stock, and i really like the fact that its set up so you can throw on an external wastegate later if you get a big turbo and comes pretapped for an EGT probe.
ok well ill do my best to respond. You will need a lot of work done to throw that turbo on there and run it high boost. You will need a new intake for the size of the turbo inlet, FMIC, External wastegate if its not internally gated, large injectors, something to tune it like DSMlink, (S-AFC...
just thought i might add that slowboyracing makes a very nice cast manifold pretapped for an egt sensor and an external wastegate for like 300 bucks.. very nice alternative for your problem. I would have bought one but i needed a new turbine housing anyways so i just got one with a bigger...
i think you may have read it wrong.. he is saying once he hits 5k at 15psi it will start to creep on him until it fuel cuts from the higher psi. If he drops the RPM once he gets at that point he is saying it wont fuel cut. Mainly because with the lower rpm there is less exhaust flow giving his...
yes that is boost creep. boost spike will return back down. boost creep just keeps going up. Basically there are a couple ways to fix this. More back pressure (restrictive exhaust). Or... Bigger interal wastegate like a 38mm. OR.. External wastegate. The for sure fix and most expensive...
K im going to throw my comments in here lol. I myself have a turbine housing from bullseye. I replaced my old housing because i found out my big 16g was stuffed into a 14b housing.. not cool. So I ordered one from these guys.. hard a hard time getting the 2 sections to come together well so I...
bah! nevermind.. looks like the spring fell out of the boost controller.. how i was lucky enough to find it in the dark wedged next to an intercooler pipe after i took my car for a drive is beyond me... but i got it back in there.. it works.. just spikes 1-2psi which is bleh.. but at least it...
Ok i once again need help with this issue. I got a new MBC today and hooked it up.. SAME problem. It wont control the boost unless i pretty much take the screw out. It WILL control boost if i bypass the MBC, but soon as i hook it up bam.. way out of control. I am so confused. I checked i...
hehe i would just go with the small 16g , dont have to worry about some generic garrett coming with a turbine housing that doesnt fit to your mitsu manifold.
i started a thread a while back ago that has all the info you could possible want about spark plug wires to these threads wouldnt be needed lol.. sooo.. enjoy!http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147476
i just tried looking for a bit and couldnt find anything either so if I could perhaps a Small 16g would be perfect for you. I am pretty sure you would be very happy with that if you just want a 14b.Here are some sites I found some small 16g turbos...
the clutch kits are all the same over the year spans. No difference in FWD and AWD. Now if you wanted a flywheel to go with it.. THEN you need to be specific about that.
Ok ill give this post my best shot.1. is it streetable.. sure especially in a GST where traction is fun on quick spooling turbos.2. stock internals.. yes. stock transmission.. yes.3. will you heatsoak on a 50trim.. depends on the PSI really.. but at the lvl you will want for a 50...
Ok ill respond to this with my opinion. I think it looks very nice. I think though if you made a full turbo back exhaust system and not just the downpipe that would be a very very cool system to get. Just my thoughts on it.
well when i had recall work done i called mitsu and asked if they would do it as its an eclipse really... but they wont perform recall work on a chrysler badged car so i had to take it to the chrysler dealer if that answers one of your questions.
one more thing i might want to add is if you have the liquid filled gauge like i do the reading is a little off when it gets warm under the hood. Try to check it while its cool each time. And oldman is right about removing the vac line all the way.. doesnt take but 2 seconds.
I would suggest the VRS exhaust. I have a full turbo back including the 02 eliminator and it was a great price for it. Sounds great too. You can buy it from Slowboyracing.com or you can go to their site direct at VRSexhaust.com .. if you have any questions about the system itself just PM me...
yeah its a big trailer.. basically the front of it is the living quarters.. bed , cooktop, fridge, freezer, shower, bathroom, sink, all that good stuff and the rear can hold 4 horses. Fully loaded its heavy as all hell. And we have 9 Arabians. Anywho, ill keep searching on how to tow this...
Basically i wasnt sure where to post this but this seemed to be the best area. We have a new Chevy duromax diesel for pulling the horse trailer and it seems to have problems overheating when going up big hills... this is pulling like 12-16k pounds. So I am trying to apply some of my knowledge...
if you need a good resource as to what the engine bay should look like up close , this should help ya out man.http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Engineprimer/
ok, ran the car with the boost source going right to the wastegate today, sucker held at 9psi all day long... boost controller was the problem, it must be messed up. So glad it was just that. The ole Joe P MBC has failed me. hehe oh well time to shop for a new controller :) . THanks for the...
well i can tell you i was only doing 3rd gear pulls to test it. i would do a pull.. get no control.. let off.. then do another pull and it pulls all the way to 6k totally controlled. So its just on or off. Vac at idle is about -15psi
na its not creep, i had creep before.. replaced the turbine housing. It will hold at 9psi all the way to redline sometimes so it cant be creep. I just cant figure out why sometimes it holds and sometimes it doesnt.
Ok basically, the problem is that there is something going on with the boost control. I have my MBC backed out all the way. Now, the boost should only be able to go to about 9psi and thats it. It does that.. SOMETIMES.. other times i get no control at all and the boost just keeps climbing. I...
Easy problem. Brake lights are stuck on. Car off or on they just stay on. I pulled the fuse but diidnt have enough day light to check it out more. Any suggestions on where to look in the morning. Thanks.
well in my 95 , also a 2nd gen, the stock audio system came with 6 speakers total. There are 2 6.5" round in the doors, 2 6x9" in the side panels by the backseat, and 2 small like maybe 2.25" speakers on the dash corners. Also the system comes stock with a small amp that should be under the...
