If I recall correctly theres a relay in where the radio sits. Its down toward the bottom and a little more toward the passenger side. I'm pretty sure thats where the clicking is coming from, might be worth looking into. I'm still trying to remember because I haven't been in there in a while and...
YESSSSSS. The yellow sensor thing just plugs into that black cover by the bcs. I can't remember what it is but I know exactly what you are talking about and that is where it goes. Mine used to fall out all the time I had to throw some electric tape on it to keep it in.
As soon as I saw the pictures I was going to say exactly what everyone else is saying: check the boot on the CV shaft for tears. It definitely looks like the grease is coming from there. When mine had a slight tear in it, the grease got all over the balljoints, my calipers, and all around the...
It just kind of pops out, using something for leverage is a good idea. There is a ring on the end that holds it in and you will feel it pop, once you get the first one it'll be easy.
Yes it's normal on the 4g63, do a search on lifter tick and you'll find tons of info. If you want to fix it you need the new revised lifters, look around a lot of the vendors on the site sell them.
So I finally got rid of the DSM, after getting rear-ended I decided I had enough and sold the car as is. Here's what I picked up... I know it's not a DSM but could somebody put theese wheels on it for me? I couldn't find any perfect side pictures of the wheels but i think theese are suffiicient...
Surprised nobody said it but I hated doing the fuel filter. Getting the lines out of the bottom of that thing were a pain in the ass. Maybe mine was just really tight cause I could tell it hadn't been touched in 80,000 miles.
Not sure what your refering to but I live in NY and it does suck, but the one plus is that most of the cops seem to be using k/ka band radars still. I goto school in OH so I do a lot of driving from NY to OH. I pick the staters and the townies up in NY and most of PA, but one I get into OH I...
How old is that radar? Does i pick up the new POP3 bands? I know a lot of cops are using that in OH now. I got a ticket about a month ago and my radar didn't even blink.
I would definitely check your wheel bearings, as stated above check for play in the wheel. I had the same symtoms when one of my wheel bearings was bad. Does the vibration feel like its coming from one side of the car?
I'm sorry I was just thinking 2g when I saw your car, forgot that the 95's like the one in the article are EPROM which is different then what you have. In which case, I'm not really sure how to remove it.
Just pict the T's up at an autoparts store or local harware store, same with the hose, just standard vacuum hose. Your boost guage probably came with the thin plastic line, but most people switch that to rubber vacuum hose as well. Might as well do it at the same time.
Sounds like a good plan but the only problem is that those are usually magnetic and that isn't going to help for a plastic zip tie. I didn't see the other thread but I'm assuming the other person dropped a screw or something metal? Either way I gues it is still worth a try. Worst case senario...
Agreed, the length of the lines may cause some issues although it has been done before. There are kits like the one pictured for in car control that do not require you to extend the the vacuum hose into the cabin of the car.
Mine gets just as hot, took it out yesterday in the rain and when I parked the hood was steaming. I was at a party and a girl came up to me and told me my car was smoking.
It got closed because this whould be posted in the classifieds in the wanted to buy section. Since your a new member you can't post there yet. I don't remember if new members can look through the classifieds, but that is a good place to start looking for a car.
So I just found out about this website through a friend. I did a search and didn't find anything on it. Just wondering if anyone on here has actually won anything? I've heard of people winning but I just want to make sure it's not a scam. If you don't know what the site is, it's just a search...
When my friend bought his gs used he had the same exact problem it was ridiculous, we were on the highway once a cop pulled us over because he said the back of the car was bouncing up and down like a pogo stick. I finally got him to order some new shocks and once I put them in the car was fine...
2g is a pain in the ass trust me. It could be done and shouldn't be a problem. I know how much of a pain it is to change the filter, but it doesn't need to be done that often so is it really necessary? Not flaming, just trying to figure out your intentions.
^^^^That is a little high, noone is going to pay that much for a 7 year old car even with the mods. It is very nice though and the mileage is great. Are you located in Albany or in the suburbs? I live in Waterford/Clifton Park, but I work in Albany.
Agreed Ny inspections suck. Its nearly impossible to "find someone" nowadays because everything is linked to the DMV and done by computer. If your car is OBD-II theres pretty much no way around it. They are still some exemptions but it's rough.
Definitely get a boost controller and crank the boost up a bit. It wil cost you well under $100 and is probably one of the first mods you should have anyway.
I thought I remembered reading somewhere that it was fog lights for the sebring/avenger, but then again that wouldn't really make sense because why wouldn't their fog switch be in the same place as ours? The heated seat switch definitely sounds like a possibility, either way our cars never came...
