Hey don't forget - if your garage door is not insulated, you can buy kits at Lowes/Home Depot/wherever that fit to the door panels. I'm getting ready do mine since my guest room is above the garage and that room is a good 10-15 degrees colder at night than the rest of the house.

I've heard of people bending the clutch forks. JayRacing.com sells some forged ones.

According to the Hollander interchange, every 420a manual transmission engine computer has a different interchange number, this means there was some difference from year to year to not make them 100% interchangeable with another model year. Good luck with your endeavors..you're going to need it!

You may want to try some of the vendors on here and not always stick to ebay. I'm guilty of it, but Its great to support true dsm vendors and not wholesale dumpers on ebay. When you buy from dsm vendors you get support from the guys who have been doing this stuff forever.

I do have an exhaust leak at the manifold due to a missing stud (runner closest to the turbo intake)

I am not sure I agree on the sub/amp thing. You would have to have some SERIOUS stereo to kill an alternator. I would look for a bad ground or open wire.

def your launch is holding you back. 2.4 60' killed your chance. the one time i took my 92 fwd to the track i manged a 14.1 and the only mods i had were 3" exhaust and upper IC pipe and stock boost. get that 60' time down and you will be happy.

I think you should def shop around. car-part.com has used trannies from local recyclers.

I don't know much about the 420a really but did you do your plugs and wires? Do you have a catalytic converter still?

i've bought many parts from rockauto but when i needs things like bumper covers i try car-part.com and parts.com. annoys me that most of the 2g aftermarket bumpers don't have that tri star indentation.

I went ahead and ordered an ECU harness extension from Boomslang Fabrication - The Performance Wiring Specialists. They don't list it on their website and its not cheap ($179). I'm having them swap pins six and fourteen on the harness. I went this route for two reasons -1) I can easily...

I guess that's not so bad. My money is invested in a 91 ECMLink setup, so the only other option would be to get a socketed 90 EPROM ECU and swap the chip.

Spent about 10 minutes in the garage tonight and took a photo of the PT and coil pack plugs. Ugh..90.

I'll have to look at the 90 ECU to see if they did that...but running right now without major issues its: 90 ECU and as far as I know a 92 harness, 90 engine When I installed the 91 ECMLink ECU it flat out ran like crap (I have another post in the tuning section about that)- stalled on start...
