Just went through the holset pics i have on my yahoo group and found this adapter pic.

No the 9cm vband and the hx is 4bolt. I would consider a 12cm with a split scroll header. I would think it would spool up pretty good compared to the 9cm. I would have tried that if I wouldnt have just found a 9cm he351w.

The 18cm housing is also a t3 flange. It is big and hits the block. I had to space out the manifold 1/2 in and make a specaial wedge shaped mitsu to t3 adapter plate. From the pics I have seen of the 12cm housing I would think they would clear without the wedge adapter. Asfar as hitting the...

I just put 272s in my car and I find it spools a bit better but off boost it has helped alot.

If the engine is going in the scrap anyways I would keep driving it and just top it up with water. I dont think you could do any harm to anything else. If it doesnt last till then, oh well time to do the swap.

Its only on there for noise purposes. Im sure it doesnt effect spool at all. But hey What do I know. :)

The flange is pretty easy to make up. its just a piece of plate with both sets of holes in it I have one sitting in my parts box at work.

Well I finally got the turbo on. If anybody remebers I modified a stock 18cm housing to work on my engine. Guys dont worry about the lag its well worth it. I havent even hooked up my waste gate yet so I havent been able to wined it out.

my muffler comes out on an agle because thats the only room aloud for it so a turbo with an exhaust in and out and an intake and 2 charge pipes would require alot of space then you have the oiling system to stick in there.It would be cool if it was possible but its tight back there.

It will not bolt onto a stock dsm exhaust mani. the 17c is a tdo6 housing and uses a different bolt pattern, you need an adapter plate. I know this because I have one myself. I never did use it though because when I bought it I thought it was better than a big 16g and later found out it isnt...

I would think there would be space isues on a dsm. on f bodies they have a lot of space at the back for a wide muffler, perfect for the turbo set up.

Well it isnt the waterpipe that its hitting. The turbine housing hits the bulge where the bal shaft sits. I started to make another adapter though and it should work the way Im doing it now. I have an H1C. If the holset turbine housing doesnt pan out Ill buy the bullseye so its not foresale.

Just a thougth here would it hurt the maf to locate it pre intercooler? Would the hot air burn it out?It would clean up the top of the engine bay and at the same time alow the nozzles to be located anywhere.

Dont flame me but I rev up to 5500-6000 and dump the bastard. I ran a 8.8 in the 1/8 with a t-25 and a 2600. I ran 8.556 with a 6 bolt 14b 680s and maft. But I will be learning over again now cause I know it wont take more than what Ive done already. But it worked when I was mostly stock.
