So first, I said I hated the dicks that used to be a part of SoCalDSM, not the club or the cool people. I always talked to Mike @ RRE. From day 1. I never once said that I didn't either. I always either bought from them or through our supplier when Rob and I started our own thing.About...
So John. You're right, my 5th gear was out. So was 4th. I had 1-2-5 most of the time. My turbo barely spooled that entire run and that's why it was easy for you to keep up.Then what you said about me not backing up stuff about tuning. I never backed it up with you cause I didn't like...
How about we ask him? Good idea. Someone saw your post, and asked me. :mad:Let's recap. First of all, we weren't going 120mph. As much as you might like to glorify the situation, that never happenned. We were MAYBE going 85. OMGI spun out due to slicks on the front and radials...
Nice Jihan,I'm glad to see that you were willing to finish the project that I stopped on. After I had spent about 17k on it, just modding, repairing and stuff, I was done spending money on it. I knew it would be like another 6-8k to finish it off the right way, and the fiance' wasn't to...
borrowing a set of wheels, i'm still waiting on road race, they were supposed to take my car in today or tomorrow to build my tranny, but i'll try to put that one off....Dan, you posting everyone's mods makes me not want to go. If there are cops trolling the boards, they'll know just what...
Hey so where exactly is everyone meeting up?? Ortega is a big canyon and there's not a lot of places nearby to meet up at :confused:I might be there with the 20g :thumb:
I might go. Even though I've been through there millions of times and could probably take it faster than anyone that shows up, I don't think I am going to excercise my skills that night. As many of you may know, canyon racing/running is dangerous. Here is what is left of my friend's car...
uh....er...yeah...mostly stock....good call there dudefuel management + boost + internals doesnt mean you have a fast car....its all in the tuning tooit looks like you're a retard then ;)
My condolences to everyone involved. Just last night I was driving too fast and thought to myself that I should slow down. This is what happens when we arent cautious about where we're doing things. I'm prayin for all you guys out there in Ohio
I know I already called you and talked to you about this, but I just wanted to post on here, that my heart goes out to you bro. You know that you can count on the local DSM community to do whatever we can for you. It's cool that us DSM guys stick together like we do. You're new to our area...
Get involved with SocalDSM dude. www.socal.dsm.org . You'll not only learn a whole lot, but you'll also hear about meets and whatnot. We usually do something once a month or so. Sometimes we go for a BBQ, others we head down to Dromo1 or other times we will take the cars to Fontucky. At any...
since he said he needs it ASAP, i don't think he'll have time to run around to different junk yards. i dont know of any decent ones, so thats why i didnt recommend that either. dude, go to socal.dsm.org and send out an all-group email.... "WTB:2G front end...stock or aftermarket" and you'll...
mikey (sidoze) has got one as far as I know. Try PMing him and asking him about it :thumb:It's a ricer kit, but shoot, its a front end right? It's either primered or paitned white..but just ask him about it ;)
i will see what i can do on prices for that stuff. however, most of my business is mainly aftermarket performance parts and it really depends on the vendors and whatnot....i dont have a supplier for OEM parts. if you DO need those, then you should contact Norco Mitsubishi ...
Yeah dude, I could introduce you. The thing with them is that they want to see for themselves that you're a DSM head and whatnot...the way to build a good rep with them is to start spending money....ask knowledgeable and intelligent questions and just go down there and chill. The big guy up...
I am in Costa Mesa, about 15min south of anaheim....i'm down for meets toostock1g4g63: there is already a club called SoCalDSM ;)
www.socal.dsm.org :thumb: We do meets all the time, including screwing around at Dromo1 (an intense go-kart place) and weekend trips to Fontucky...etc...
I will try to upload it tonight :thumb: If only Mike and I had a video cam every time we walked an S2k you guys would have lots of entertainment....lol:D
Last time I saw stuff about supercharged S2k's they were only like 300 hp. Yeah its nice, but 300crank hp isn't THAT impressive. I'm not sure what mine is exactly, but it's enough to keep with an auto C5 and 911's. That s2k had k&n intake, ??? headers, apex ws exhaust and spoon tb. But at...
mike, that's not the video i was talking about. i am talking about the one where manuel was inside my car videotaping me racing that guy from my work. he started off infront of my at a red light. pulled off the line, then i pulled him in when i was in 3rd and 4th...you're thinking of that one...
Are you questioning me or just wanting to see it? a lightly modded gst will walk an s2k. they arent that fast guys. what a mid 14sec qtr mile right? wow, thats impressive...lol. but yeah, i'll ask my friend if he can give it to me. how do i upload vids? i havent tried yet. but yeah, i'll...
I dunno about you guys, but I've pulled on a few NSX's from a roll. They don't impress me at all anymore. Same with the S2000's. I raced my buddies BPU S2k and in 3d I pulled like 3 cars on him, my friend even got it on videotape :)I have never raced an NSX from a stop tho, I always see...
It looks like everyone seems to have a different idea of what the new one will look like. I'm just going to sit tight and wait for Toyota to release pics :thumb:
What I'm more excited for, however, is that when the new one comes out, most likely, the old one will go down in value. If it goes...
2gClipse: They are selling them REALLY cheap right now, you only need like 44k to pick up a brand new comm. edition man. The racing stripe only comes on the Z06 but my dad has a bad hip so he can't have a stick, or else he would have gotten it.littlemilla3: Yes my dad has seen it. He...
I don't know Manny. I've never dealt with him before. I didn't even know that he was on tuners. HOWEVER....I know many ppl in SD and they have all warned me about some guy named "Manny" ripping everyone off. I think he is banned from the SoCalDSM list as well. Maybe even SD DSM too. Maybe...
Well, here is the new toy. My dad finally gave into me nagging him about getting one. He had a DSM a while back and loved it, but now he wants something thats fast without needing to be too modified. It's being delivered next week, so when it's here I'll take some pics of it with my duzzum...
i've never heard of bosal before. i have the greddy and its not too loud. however one of the quietest setups that i've heard is the rnr
go to this site:

Yeah where is that guy? Good job tho Erick, we all knew it was coming....at the meets everyone circles around his car and a few others  But yeah, this had to happen sometime, just a given. :)Brian
oh, and about stock hp comparison and whatnot....with intake, exhaust, bov and mbc i put down 197whp and 248lb-ft....so thats almost a 30whp gain over stock...but at any rate, it will help a lot, turbo's need more exhaust flow....period
quieter than stock? the greddy is very much louder than stock.....its not too loud, but you know its there. depending on your setup, expect between 8 and 13whp gain from exhaust assuming the rest of your car is running good. in comparing other exhaust systems to each other....get what you...
your's and crazy's are the two best looking white dsm's on this site! and the new engine bay even proves that more....sick setup, i wonder whats next on your list
Well, since he has a 16G, the outlet is technically facing up. What he did was used the normal J pipe and turned the lower piece around. also, he trimmed the J pipe a little. That won't work on your car though. You can either cut the outlet of your turbo, spin it around and re-weld it which...
it goes back to the stock location, i'm sure mike's got a pic lying around somewhere....i have one somewhere on my comp, but i dunno where it is...i'll look for it and post it up if i can find it...
REALLY? How can you tell? loli bet you had the guys there weld you some pipes or lend you some equipment.Or he is pimp like that and has all the crap in his garage :)dammn looks good bro.Hell yes it does :)i need one.unless your mod list isn't up to date, get a few...
All an external really does is give you more control over your boost. That is the biggest benefit from it. You can get more power with it due to less turbulence in your exhaust system, but honestly, unless you're planning on running a really big turbo most people out there are ok with internal...
First off, make sure that all of your IC pipes are nice and tight. Lots of the time it's a simple clamp that needs some tightening. If that doesnt work, then search here or go to VFAQ and learn how to make a boost tester. It's not that hard, just be patient.Hope this helps....
Well what are your goals for your car? If you're set on running 12's then there are like water temp or oil pressure. If you don't already have a TT, get the apex-i one and that has a built in volmeter. If you're content with low 14's then all you really need is boost and egt. I would get an...
