I concur with Corey. You can change the gasket for the Intake manifold in under an hour taking your time. I also suggest if you are going to do the gasket anyway to replace it with a phenelic resin spacer like the one we put on Coreys GSX. I do not know the HP improvment, but I do know that...

The starter is out as there is a manual tranny going into the car. I did try pushing the key into the crank position just to see what would happen. still nothing.

the wastgate flapper arm is adjustable. havent heard anyone mentioning that to bring their flappers into spec. i had the housing that gofer now has. it was rock solid and you could set it up for preload with out having to have an adjustable actuator arm.

I justs go back to stock. Its only once every 2 years. really not to much trouble. also AWD wins for not having to go on the rollers:)

Yes his GST has less parasytic loss, but dont forget that the GSTs have taller gears than we do. A stock GST will almost always be faster than a stock GSX. (untill you get to the rev limiter of course)

THAT ones not ribbed...:coy:Just FYI. With fresh ceramic brakes and the new SS lines and GSX calipers, Corey's car felt a lot like my EVO9 when brakeing. The evo can brake for a lot longer a lot more times before fadeing, but there is definatly impressive stopping power on the GST now.

Do the smart thing and install a 2G head on your car.:p (The ports are the same size as the 2G all the way up to the current evo. sounds to me like it was better than the 1G port.)

Got some new EVO-9 wheels.They came with an EVO-9 attached. So after my car came back as a total loss, and not being able to find another comparable GSX(white,99, black interior, unmodded) I decided that the best thing for me in the long run was to buy a much newer car. This is an 06 EVO9...

Word is in from the appraiser. Total loss. I can buy it back for 1,125. they say I can have 60 days to take the mods off the car (so long as I have the stock part) they will hold the 1,125 untill I return the car to them. and the worst part of the story so far is... they value my car...

News today from USAA is that IF they call it totalled, they will let me remove all my mods before she goes to te big junkyard in the sky. I would love to buy it back if it does get totalled, but I have nowhere I could store it and work on it. I would have to let her go.You guys want to hear...
